Se por lo que paso Jamey aunque no lo conocí, sufrí al extremo el desprecio, burlas cuando niño y adolescente, nací con un defecto congénito (no es el tema a tratar pero el efecto es el mismo) y eso me convirtió en blanco perfecto para las burlas, motivo por el cual tuve un intento casi exitoso de suicidio. Lo que intento decir es que ningún niño no merece sufrir mal trato, burlas o ser denigrado, puede marcarlo para siempre, debido que a su corta edad no sabe como manejar la situación.

I've been a bully my entire school time. So I'm pretty sure I can tell you, bullies ARE losers. I've been SO scared people might not like me that I started bullying a kid and basically bullying him every single day in school for two years. Jamey lived in my area, and it's horrible what happened to him. I thank Lady Gaga for actually doing something about bullying. It IS a huge deal in schools. When are parents going to realize the power of bullying? The responsibility should not just be on the parent of the student being bullied, but the parents of the bullies. They need to recognize this behavior and realize that it may be affecting another individual. if those schools want to keep sexual preference out of the bully policy to keep the christians that say "being gay is a sin" those homosexuals should be able to state their opinions on the christians beliefs without being called bullies as well. its only fair. no one should bully for any reason.
Bullying=hatred and violence and should be treated that way whether it's toward "gay, overweight, nerdy, etc.." The bullies should be reported #1, then charged, suspended, and expelled. If actually harmed, should be arrested. Violence is a crime. Parents of bullies should be called in and held responsible as well.

I'm now 29 years old and when I was in high school in the mid-90s I was bullied a lot for being gay. Often this would happen in broad daylight in front of teachers. But they didn't do anything either because they were themselves anti-gay or because they didn't know how to manage situations like that. I tried to kill myself twice in high school but failed. I'm grateful to be alive today, as a proud gay man, and to help spread the message of love and acceptance. R.I.P. young Jamey.

I remember my older brother came out in high school, he was senior and i was freshman, he was quiet and kept to himself. No one knew we were sister and brother but the day everyone found out he was gay. Everyone started bullying him, one day we had foods class together, these guys started calling him names. I've been a bully my entire school time. So I'm pretty sure I can tell you, bullies ARE losers. I've been SO scared people might not like me that I started bullying a kid and basically bullying him every single day in school for two years. That's eight years gone, and he's doing pretty well and I apologized. Still I'm pretty sure I won't ever get rid of that guilt. And these last weeks, gay myself, I realized what I could have done. I had an unusual bully in highschool, he was a small jerk who picked on people because he was a teacher's son and relative of the principle who was known to be abusive in my private school. When are parents going to realize the power of bullying? The responsibility should not just be on the parent of the student being bullied, but the parents of the bullies. They need to recognize this behavior and realize that it may be affecting another individual. Bullying=hatred and violence and should be treated that way whether it's toward "gay, overweight, nerdy, etc.." The bullies should be reported #1, then charged, suspended, and expelled. If actually harmed, should be arrested. Violence is a crime. Parents of bullies should be called in and held responsible as well.

I'm now 29 years old and when I was in high school in the mid-90s I was bullied a lot for being gay. Often this would happen in broad daylight in front of teachers. But they didn't do anything either because they were themselves anti-gay or because they didn't know how to manage situations like that. I tried to kill myself twice in high school but failed. @MyITRcom Don't blame God for what people decide to do. People are the ones who come out and aren't educated enough on how to speak to others about the word of God. He sees all those who say things in evil intentions to anyone (gay or not) and they won't go unpunished. God bless.

@nenita5017 Fail, people follow what God tells them in the BuyBull. Religion is about creating external authorities and to convince the majority that knowing comes from who says so, not what is the evidence. Watch the Zietgeist on Religion series on youtube and you will soon have a better understanding of the social engineering behind religion and its real purpose.

@MyITRcom I'm a born-againChristian & I see it more as my lifestyle choice than religion and yes I do my best to live my life to please God. I live a very happy life by living by His word, but I don't go around telling people they're going to hell and are sinners cause in reality we all are. That's why my point is PEOPLE are the ones who don't know how to talk. It's not God, He doesn't send us to go to others and belittle them and tell them they're going to hell, it's the ignorant people.

That proof that you say we don't have we actually do. @MyITRcom not all religions feel that way though, most actually just say, be a good person but people twist that around to suit their own agendas and to mask their fear of anything different. willing to bet all these ppl advocating bullying were bullies themselves and dont want to face that what they did was wrong.

It's sad.
I had a similar story. I am not homosexual, but just for dressed and styling my hair differently.
I a close friend messaged one of the girls mother that was telling me cruel things over Facebook, and of course, the mother took her daughters side, saying I was in the wrong.
Why don't parents even try to stop bullying? Her daughter ADMITED to bullying me in school. Wasn't that enough for her to see her daughter is turning into a monster?
Our future generation is screwed.
