I've lived in China for 5 years, and been in car accidents (taxi driver) 6 times. I have been hit by 3 cars (all taxis) and am therefore not surprised by this video at all. Chinese are more afraid of SARS (killed approximately 250 people) than cars (kills 5 people a day in Beijing alone)

The reporter was saying that the 64 years old woman was going for a walk and a guy backed up the car on to her. Both the rear tires ran over her body for 5 times. The driver than looked at the lady and then decided to drive away and than report to the police 3 minutes later.
What the report says was that this was a 64 year old lady and that the driver called police after 3 minutes. The lady died after arriving at the hospital.

no way this was an accident! the guy was backing out of a parking garage. when they entered, they knew it was a flat path but if there was a bump on the way out, you wouldnt double back like 192934234 times! the driver is a murderer! maybe an assassin!
If a driver runs over a person, it would cost him/her less if the person was DEAD. If the person is alive, they would have to pay hospital bills, etc. HOWEVER, if the person is dead, they would only need to pay compensation for the family. Not only that, if the person is driving for a company, the company will be compensating for part of the payment if the person who was ran over is dead - they do NOT help the driver pay for hospital bills if their "victim" is alive.
I've been in China for ten years. This is how they are. They are like this on foot, shopping carts, bikes, cars, trucks, planes. It is the education system there, look out for number one and the rest can get out of the way, that's how they "think".
I can't chalk that one up to poor driving, definitely murder. He comes to the first stop after impact, Then he reverses again over the head. Any sane driver would have gone forward after feeling the obstruction at the tire. His calm aproach to the man's body verifies that he was probably sober and knew what he was doing. I hope he gets a diserving sentence because that's no accident.

a. pause in the video just before impact
b. body falls nearly 90 degrees from direction of impact.
c. body bounces several times with the head remaining straight. have you ever seen someone bounce like that on pavement?
d. suspension barely moves when running over.
e. 2 bystanders barely give any reaction at all and don't stop.
f. witness doesn't react coming around corner and then ham's it up pointing at camera

I can't chalk that one up to poor driving, definitely murder. He comes to the first stop after impact, Then he reverses again over the head. Any sane driver would have gone forward after feeling the obstruction at the tire. His calm aproach to the man's body verifies that he was probably sober and knew what he was doing. I hope he gets a diserving sentence because that's no accident.
btw - some of u guys need to keep the racism in your tiny heads...

Wow, he backed up over him 3 times I think, common sense would tell you to not move the car unless you feel the car is lop-sided as a result of the car being on the man.

There are bad drivers across the globe. It looked purposefull. If it was an object then he would have just checked his car and drove off. If you kill the person it costs less money. This still makes this guy a murder. I hope he got put away, since it was cought on camera he probally did.
