Its just a shame it had street tyres on her, would have been a different video if you had all terrains , but as you said ..it was a demo so not your fault.
pity the defender has a known fault with it's vacuum pump that fails at about 20,000km, if you're planning a long trip you may want to keep that in mind when you break down in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise they are brilliant off road. I told a local dealer that I would carry a spare, he laughed and said he only ever has one in stock. Hopefully there is a land rover expert who can shed more light on this problem.
@vaestanfors - funny that, i work for a Land Rover Main Dealer and we don't have any issues with vacuum pumps?? just moronic owners who wonder why the gearbox blows up when they're towing 6 ton trailers off road, it's a 3.5ton non powered towing limit for a reason,
@Spoonoffroad i worked for gordon lamb land rover... defender is by far the most reliable vehicle... there is a reason why they use the transit engine.. its like a more refined 300Tdi engine, bomb proof! only problem we had was the wheels was getting stolen off the back!
Fantastic video. I know rolling weight is different to dead weight etc but no matter how you look at it, that's incredible. I drive a 110 and if someone in a truck asked me for help I just would've laughed at them - not anymore.
