That's not a voltmod, he's unlocking the multiplier.

The voltmod he does in the bios has nothing to do with the L1 bridges, he's just ensuring it has enough power after turning the multiplier up...

cpu manufacturers started locking the cpu's to prevent over-clocking, this would be to unlock the cpu. the cpu's multiplier i believe is what is locked
