Ps3 downloads very slow please help

i thought mine was slow but i guess its kinda fast i started downloading COD BO at 3:00 today its 5:30 now and its at about 20%

Ps3 connection is only slow because WAY to many people have psn, which slows it down,i don't know why people say xbox360 has more people when it doesn't, playstation network has 75 million users estimate, while xbox only has 15 million estimate (these are actual facts that I looked up) so of course we are gonna have it slow,look at ps2, nodoby lags on that because barely anyone plays it, so if some fags would stop making free accounts pointlessly,pan wouldn't be so slow

@ARM3G3D3N59 that has nothin to do with it its all about your connexion speed and if its wireless or not . i been playin ps3 for years never experencied lag or whatevertill i moved to another city when im forced now to get a wireless now im laggin evertytime i play its all about that. and also if u can disable the media server that'll help alot

My PS3 is slow also i get speedtest results of 0.23MB on a 50MB connection, my Laptop gets 25MB (due to being G standard) my N+ standard PC gets 44-47MB

Why are PS3s so slow, my friends Xbox 360 gets 16MB on a 20MB connection so why is the PS3 only about 4 X faster than my old Dreamcasts Dial Up.

im downloading annihilation and it normally isnt this slow i used to get a few MB every few seconds when i downloaded escalation and now its just downloading 1 MB every 10 minutes and when i tried downloading it straight up it went from 700 min all the way to 40,000 min please help! also i have at&t internet so i already know my connection sucks

Also my Nat type is moderate which means I can't play/ hear some of my friends.... It was fastest before it was hack3d. I downloaded first strike in 3 hours . This is downloading at 10 kb per second. And will take over 15 hours

ok so me and my gf got our ps3 today mainly becuase of the exclusive titles such as hard rain uncharted and gods of war and we also have the xbox 360

both awesome gaming machines BUT psn SUCKS BIG TIME!!!

Sometimes I'll have the same problem. All I do is just shut down my system. When it boots back up and continues the download its like 100x faster.

It's your internet service package. You probably don't know what it is assuming you're not the one paying for it. For example, I don't pay for my internet. I'm 16 and my parents do. Our internet package is AT&T and the download speeds for it are 1.5mbps max. Let's say you're playing Call of Duty. You have to have MINIMUM 6 mbps to get a 4 bar connection. I ALWAYS have 3 bars.

if you dont need the router for another device or a computer, dont use it..hook the ps3 up straight to the modem..yes it maybe less convenient but faster..

ummm yeah try only downloading 1 thing at a time like pause the rest while the first downloads ive also found that some stuff wont download while ur playing a game the best way like they said is to start downloading before ur goin to bed if you got a slow connection like i used to have 3 meg and dl's were pretty slow but now i have 10 meg and its really quick

download when you are not using your hdd. try reseting your modem. i download at night before i go to bed and set my ps3 to turn off after the download. download speeds also depend on your internet speed
