Nice car! I have a 69 ss 396 to with a 72 454 engine and 4 speed. Mines just silver. Too bad its an automatic though. You should put a 4 speed in it but not a 6 speed. That will just ruin it.

But there are a LOT of regulations concerning cars in germany,beginning from exhaust sound (which should really be a problem) to lights and so on.

The biggest problem is the gas,due to the fact that this is really expensive over here..currently 1 gallon costs approximetaly 3 dollars convertet from euros.

This car is beautiful, but the original LS-6 454 in the 1970 Chevelle was rated at 450hp, I thought the 69's only came with the L78 396 that was rated at 375hp, but it's all good tho, cuz this 454 you have in this car is puttin' out over 400hp so that's beautiful, but to get the fuel economy out of it & drive it as a daily driver, I would remove the TH400 3 spd & drop in a 4 speed auto or 5 speed manual, nonetheless, beautiful car tho!!!

As I recall, they were somewhat detuned, but the net ratings that were to be instituted weren't exactly 100% accurate for a good while, especially not in the early days.{Ex. a '72 SS402 rated @ 300 hp actually had up to 360, and so on}

... this car isn't even equipped with springs in the rear, so your complaint is somewhat stupid. like all factory-made chevelles in 1969, the rear suspension of this car consists of air shocks. so, changing the height of the rear end is just as easy as pumping up the tires of a bicycle. the shocks are obviously over-filled in this video, but it shouldn't twist your panties too much because 30 minutes of driving fixed the problem and the car returned to its normal stock height

How much does it cost to restore one? on average?

depends on the condition you bought it in, and the quality of the restoration. some people go all out and have the car completely taken apart and rebuilt and sold on auctions. those restorations are extremely pricey. this car was an ex drag racer saved before it was sent to the junkyard. I completely rebuilt the interior, but the body was pretty much fine. it took about 10 grand and 4 years to get what you see today. and i'd say I have about 5 more grand to put into it before it's truly complete

Just a couple of things. First, that's a beautiful car, I love it. Second, factory original wheels for a 69 Chevelle would be 14 inch. If those are 15s on there, they're repros. They look like repros...they're too deep to be factory. Plus, the fronts don't have enough backspacing, which is why they rub...probably too big a tire in the front, as well.
