figured out this is by Director Moriyama Yuji-san who used the alias 朝刊太郎 'Choukan Taro' in the credits. hes really obsessed with youkai, being those Japanese creatures who have starring roles in GGGnKtaro series. he did another Sakura-exorcist ep119 as well when all her ghouls come out to haunt her..tho now took the liberty of showing us Sakuras mother..oh the horror..this being Moriyama-sans finale ep as well. continuity by Kuriyama Miho-san who previously did a wonderful ep with Tens mother.
7:54 - OMG, it's Bonaparte from Masamune Shirow's Dominion: Tank Police. This HAD to have been taken from Shirow's manga, which probably had come out the same year as when this episode aired, and was before the Dominion anime had come out in 1988.
And, in case anyone doesn't know, "Bonaparte" is a tank, and it looks EXACTLY like this one (a mini-tank, really).
