Bush has actually spent a total of about $21 TRILLION dollars over 8 years.
Obama has spent about $2.6 trillion.

That small amount of money that we are supposed to be getting added to our paychecks. I can't remember. I think it's like $14 a month or something. This is intended to simulate a drop in everybody's tax bracket. I know $14 isn't a lot to any one individual, but in the grand scheme of things it makes a difference. The IRS has projected "240 million returns" for 2009. You do the math. The product of those 2 numbers is how much the stimulis package has given back to the people.

But to add to your point, growth has been noted in the past month, the great depression didnt see growth until a much longer period of time than 8 years.
