no no the ending isn't bad at all. I love the end!!! It is so real! I'm so tired of all the movies when the guy and the girl gets eachother. That isn't reality. You can't always have the one you fall in love with. Julia Roberts shows the feeling so good in this movie:)

@Unbrokenpromises i completely disagree! I am with you when you say that most movies have unrealistic ending but in My best friend's marriage i believe that THIS was an unrealistic ending....I mean through the whole movie you see that Michael had still feelings for Julian...He wasn t so much in love with Kimmy I mean he almost broke up with her twice...When I watch this film i always say to myself that in about 2 years Michael divorce and go and find Julian! =D that would be the right end!

Sad yes, but I don't think it is a bad ending as others says. I think it makes it more realistic and I love the scene where she is talking to George in the phone and she finds out that he is at the party. It's such a great film.
