how tight do you set your slipper clutch so that it can wheelie like that? have you ever stripped your spur gear because of having it to tight? and what settings on de esc do you need to change in order to run lipo? thanks
@buttfirebaby I set it almost tight. This is ok if the gear mesh is perfect. I have never stripped a spur gear because I am an experienced driver. To run lipo make sure your esc has a auto lipo setting, set your cutoff at 3.2 or 3.1 - You never want a lipo battery to go below 3.0 per cell. So if you have 2S there are 2 cells. 3S there are 3 cells etc.
Just wanting to know is it capable to run LiPo's with the factoy ESC and motor? Thinking about making this my next purchase after I finish my SavageX.
@amgf360 Did you watch the video, I have a Mamba 5700 on a 2S lipo doing backflips at a BMX Track Full speed.. All thats came off was shock washers. Other than that everything was good. YES VERY DURABLE
hi. I've ordered a firestorm Flux brushless. Can you give me some feedback about the car. Is it easy to handle at high speed, whats its max speed, is there a big difference between running it with plain nimh or lipo (i've bought the GP 2s lipo 5300 mah). Also how do you activate the lipo cut-off (on the hpi site it doesn't provide that info). Nice vid by the way ... enjoy playing with it.
@rustlerbadass - geolander tires are good both on-road and off-road (grass, gravels, dirt, etc.) except on sand. Overall, i think the ground assault grips better though they don't last long as geolander
@Chanceisthebomb The battery and charger are not included. This is good because people can choose what battery they want and not get stuck with something they dont want.
@Chanceisthebomb check your nearest hobby store and get a volt meter. Tell them you need to meter that reads the voltage on 2S lipo batteries. They should be no more than $10-$20. While bashing or racing check periodically. Also check motor and esc temps when using lipos. You can change pinions and spurs to bring the temps down.
i have a e firestorm but it always does wheelies. any tips on how to prevent this so i can run it smoothly on road? i dont have much off road terrain in my area.
@boxertom94 these have been by far the best tires on road and off. I remember now how it never turn when on the throttle with stock tires. The firestorm has alot of tork, you can always loosen the slipper clutch, but you will lose some punch.
@Buschy009 found a better method, you can bake them on 350 degrees for 25 mins and they should fall right off, then flip over for 15 and do the same. This works much better for me without the acetone.
@Buschy009 being that it is rear wheel drive you should be fine with them just in the back only. If you had 4x4 then you would definitely want both sets.
@Buschy009 very soft compound tire that are rugged off roaded designed and can handle well on road! Highly recommended, still have the same tires on them today.
i'm thinking of buying them. i will mostly drive on road so would you definately recommend them. they don't wear out like the stock rear tyres. i find the front stock tyres fine. so would be alright if i just buy a pair of geolanders for the rear tyres. thanks
@MrTechman98 - Try $500+ $299 Car, Lipo Battery $85 and Mamba Max 5700 Esc and motor around $220 and upgraded mods. Everything elso is stock. I do care...lol The purpose of this video was to show you how durable the Firestorm Flux is and after flying over a 6ft BMX hill at full speed and still NOTHING BROKE..

123321mushy 8 months ago
how long is the runtime with a 2s 4000mah 20c lipo
123321mushy 8 months ago
@123321mushy it really depends on the esc and how much amps it will pull. It should be 10-20 mins though.
SelectRCdotcom 8 months ago
@SelectRCdotcom also can u get a clear body shell for the firestorm
123321mushy 8 months ago
I got a stock brushed motor and replaced it with a 9t brushless. What do I do go up more teeth or less teeth on the pinion.
Y0UCANTPARKHERE 11 months ago
@Y0UCANTPARKHERE less teeth on the pinion. The higher the kv to lower the pinion and higher the spur gear ratio...have fun...

where did u get those tires

@timmoore8462 they recommend up to 2s but people run 3s but it gets hot real quick
dossa3 1 year ago
@dossa3 yes and you can use a lower pinion and higher tooth spur to bring motor temps down.
SelectRCdotcom 1 year ago
@timmoore8462 I would recommend 2S only on the stock ESC, 3S will fry it.

@rustlerbadass they hold very good, any 2 wheel drive car will have some difficulty on grass, but these would be better tires....

@Chanceisthebomb not necessarily the battery but the motor and the esc. This is opinion based, but I say if you touch it and it hurts to hot. :C) lol

Always use inserts they will prevent damage to the rims. In addition now is the time to duct tape the inside of the tires to keep from ballooning.
