well i hope my car will mature in value, and i am glad to have the last model made of the GTO...and as for SUVs, a great off roading (BEsides Hummers and shit) are take a Jeep Wranger or Grand Cherokee...if its a wrangler, go with an early 90s model, gets a decent lift and throw some 34inch mudding tires....amazing offroad machines...cant tell yo how many times me and my buds, tear up the jersey pine barrens in those things...good times!

Sure looked to me like the Chally won that race. White light at the top of board lit up before the GTO. Don't care cuz they're both awesome rides. Wouldn't mind owning one, just not sure if I'm ready to give up my Goat to do it. the srt8's actually make more than 425 crank hp because they make 370rwhp stock through a 5 speed automatic. a 4 speed automatic ls2 gto only puts down about 330rwhp stock

on a different note, with a good driver both cars are about dead even stock for stock. with the same mods, the srt8 will be faster though. and btw, i own a 6 speed ls2 gto

Well, it mustn't suck too bad compared to the GTO's considering that it's actually still in production.

The HEMI has been around for about seven years now, the GTO was out for three.

People actually still desire the Challengers too. Every time I go to a Dodge dealership there's one being sold, even right in the middle of winter.

I would rather see a GTO 6-speed vs. a Challenger 6-speed then ones that have the 5 speed auto tranny. Even this one with the auto tranny got close to it!

In all actuality it's not even a hemi. It's a poly-spheric so i's not even a true hemi..which means something wasn't good with the old p.o.s.

Both cars are similar in weight. For the money you're going to be spending on a challenger it better beat a GTO! I wouldn't even spend 25k on a Challenger, but that's me.

i care...he mislabled the video...he was just looking for an excuse why his precious 48000 challenger got its ass handed to it by a cheaper (in my opinion better looking) car with a smaller engine...easy its was a stock LS2...challenger just weight over 4000lbs! you need a lot more power to get those boats moving in the high 12s...which is where the GTO goes stock...mine is modded for about a 12.3

Yeah, they do go quite a bit faster with the improved gearing and a stick shift. The only problem is that Chrysler has since then stopped making 6-speed SRT-8s because of the economic recession (too expensive). Only between 500 to 750 were made.

Do they have more than 100? If that was the case, then i would consider his probability out comes a bit wrong. However, I doubt the dealership had that many cars and to be honest...if the demand is higher in an area for certain types of cars..guess what? That dealer gets more of those cars than other dealers.

Where I live there is a HUGE community of GM owners and GM enthusiasts and guess what? There are so many GM dealerships and tons of cars at each one including pick up and diesels.

Lots of inaccurate facts in the previous posts. The 04s came with an LS1, the 05s AND 06s came with 400 hp LS2s which you can identify by the hood scoops and the exhaust on both years.

Secondly the LS7 is a 427 (7.0L) and has never come supercharged stock. You're thinking of the LS9 found in the new ZR-1 which is based off of the 6.2 liter LS3 block.
