  • I need help with drawing animals. Basically wolves. I draw them online and I need tips on making realistic ones if you are good at animals. Can you please help me with this?

  • amazing. what do you use to shade?

  • amazing drawing!

  • your really good at shading :D LOVE IT! check mines out :)

  • i could never get that good 0.0

  • What different mediums did you use...i detected a charcoal pencil i think

  • So i drew a picture of her and it looks like her and everything but I just wanna shade it more but i'm scared on what to do next with it because i feel like i'm gonna mess up. Could you give me pointers?

  • @cookiemonsterules

PM me a link to your drawing and I'll be happy to help you.

  • @skylineaddict Could I email it? I don't know how I would send it through the message.

  • I drew the same picture 0.o

but mine ending up looking like a drag queen lol

  • @daccord1

In your defense, I use a grid, that's why all my proportions come out right. If I didn't use a grid, then I would SUCK.

  • @skylineaddict but I do use a grid lol i think it's just that i made her face way too dark haha

  • @daccord1

Ah, well send me a link to a picture or something and I'll see if I can give you a few pointers if you want.

  • Ok thank you. Ya its just facial features that I suck at.

  • ok so im also an artist. I normally dont draw portraits (face shots). I am trying to get betting at drawing them. I have a specific person that I am trying to draw but every time I draw it, it does not come out good. Any tips on drawing faces???

  • @molinafootball

Honestly, there are no tips to just magically draw better. All I can tell advise you to do is take your time and practice a lot. If you want more specific tips, I'm probably the wrong person to be asking. I'm not that great of a teacher. I'll look around for good tutorials on charcoal drawings and send the links your way.

  • @molinafootball

PM me a link to a picture of your drawing. It makes it easier for me to give tips if I can see what level you are on.

  • wow thats really good. Pencil or charcoal??? so where do we add you as a friend??

  • @molinafootball

Just on Youtube. I won't be uploading any videos until probably two weeks from now because I'm still taking final exams. I may not have that whole friend system any more because it does show favoritism.

  • continu très beau!

  • i first time see technique like this. amazing.

  • @usfootman

    Wait, what technique?

  • At first I was thinking "What the hell, I don't get it. I hope this person doesn't suck."

Then suddenly all at once it became amazing. Being an artist myself, I should have known not to judge something before it was done.

  • You are just gifted, you probably hear this ALL the time but I guess that's becuase it's true. I'd love if my boyfriend had an artistic tallent like this. Well done.

  • @gangstaCANDY

Well, if you're looking for a replacement, I'm single :P. I'm sure your boyfriend does many things way better than me.

And I don't think it's a gift. I just worked hard at it for a few years and trained myself to draw well. Hell, if you're encouraging enough, you could get your boyfriend to draw like me :).

  • Perfect work, and even more than Megan.

    The music was super good!

    Congratulations

    I love Megan!!

    I'm from Brazil =)

  • beautilful.....

  • DAMN I WISH I COULD DO THAT

  • owh my gosh that amazing!!! 5* !!

    can u draw me XP,,,

    hhe just kiding...

  • tht's so amazing the shading and everything

  • May i ask did you use a "workable fixative?" and if you did what does it do... im buying all these art supplies for an art class im taking and I have no idea what they even do.. lol from what ive seen in other videos all it does is make the picture darker and not smear... but thats just an assumption. Nice work 5stars

  • I didn't use it on this one, I used another fixative that was terrible and almost ruined the drawing. The picture was taken before I sprayed it on.

What I'd suggest is getting Krylon Workable Fixatif. Don't, and I mean don't get anything by Blair. Their fixative bunches up and causes a lumpy texture that is absolutely terrible.

The Krylon fixative doesn't affect the drawing in any way other than making the pure black areas a little reflective.

  • haha thanks. I actually posted on another video of yours with charlize theron =P my bad dont have to answer that one. Thanks for the recommendation. Also is that the main point to a fixative - making it reflective looking? I'll be sure to get Krylon =]

  • The main point to a fixative is in the name. It's to prevent smudging, because mediums like charcoal and pastel tend to be very loose and easily disturbed. Honestly, all my drawings would be ruined by now if I didn't spray them with a fixative. It's a necessity to anyone who plans to keep an archive of their work.

  • Generally, a fixative won't make the drawing darker or smear it because then it wouldn't sell. Just stick with Krylon because I have experience with other brands, and they just don't match up to Krylon.

Be sure not to spray on too much because that will cause the paper to curl inward, which is okay if you're putting it in a frame, but not that good when it's just lying around without anything holding it down. Even if you spray too much Krylon on, the drawing won't look any different.

  • that was amaizing, how much time did u need to do this?

  • For this one, just under 2 hours.

  • This is beautiful work. I completed a pencil portrait of Megan myself recently. One word of thumb though; though your eyes are REALLY well done in terms of detail, the alignment seems a little off. I don't know it's just me. What I do is I indicate through lines where they go, what the angle is, the size of them, etc. However I am NOT taking anything away from your effort. Your hands are excellent, and the lips are dead on. All in all I'd grade this a solid A -.

  • Thanks! Yeah, I see it to. Also, the left eye seems a little larger than the right. Getting everything proportionate, even with a grid, is pretty hard. I think, though, the alignment problem has to do with the dark shading. I couldn't get the finer details of the eyes out because of the sheer darkness of some areas of the drawing.

  • dude du u use a pic ta look at or is diz off tha top of yha head??.....

  • Definitely used picture. My memory is too bad for me to draw this from the top of my head.

  • Evanescence, right? :) Wow, just watched your Hayden Pannettiere one! This is equally as amazing! :)
