John Saxon and his wife muscled the director. They even re-wrote some parts of the movie so Saxon would have more presence.

Actually, not too many in the US knew of Bruce Lee before Enter The Dragon.

His Chinese movies were released widely AFTER his death.

Hence The Way Of The Dragon was renamed The Return of the Dragon.

In fact, if you listen carefully to the quality of his voice when he speaks in that scene, you can clearly tell it's a newer, crystal clear sounding recording. However, when Bruce Lee's real voice is heard, beginning at 5:36, it is an older, lower-quality recording, definitely from 1973.
