I believe I heard this at the Keg Hause in New Haven in the mid 1980's, along with most of the Scarred For Life album. Obsession kicked some serious musical @ss back then. I hope they still do...
Fuck yea! Im 23 and I hate what is considered metal now days! Some jack ass growling into the microphone while the band just plays fast the same chords repeatedly. Its garbage. But bands like obsession are true fucking metal, I only hope that true metal once again becomes popular because im so sick of the crap we gotta deal with right now.
@dan8723 as a fan of all types of metal i gotta say bmdm & thrash are the most powerful & destructive brands of metal. tho, yes some of it can be repetitive most of it is really intense & extreamly talented. they do not play the same cords (depending on the band you are listening to), there are mad changes in alot of it. this kinda stuff is good too but not nearly as good as bands like slayer or napalm death.
Uneducated critics state that the 80's were filled with plenty of imitations which isn't true. The 80's were filled with a ton of excellent bands which contributed to heavy metal's longevity and lasting impression.
I rated it almost as soon as it had been uploaded, well timed I think hehe. I just forgot to leave a comment on it. I rated it five stars about an hour or so ago.
