this works for classroom chairs with the wires underneath the seat for books..
make sure nothing is inside it, then on the side rod wet your finger a little but not much and do the same thing... it can get really really loud

we do it at school with the book holders under our desk, except the rosin is spit.
lambogeek 2 years ago
wha? how does he have powdered cello rosin? did he crush it into a powder?
monkeynekomagic 2 years ago
If you hold the rod so it's being held 3/4 of the way up straight up and down, you will get an even higher pitch. We just did this in physics this year.
froghole1 2 years ago
oOoH.!!
soO why does it actualy make dat noise.!? is it because of the pull of the hand.!??
99ciicii 2 years ago
i THINK its because of vibration.
sound=vibration, and the powder is rubbing the rods and causing vibration.
like how guitars make sound, the ropes vibrate and rub the air around it.
i may be horribly wrong, but i guessed.

what is the powder called?
fulanoeljitano12345 2 years ago
Rosin. It's used on cello/violin bows to make it move across the strings properly, you can get it at most music stores.
