I also like the style of still camera with the lone post in the middle, dispelling all doubts as to what the focus of this vid is.
I love the banter in the background too, making the viewers curious as to what's going on while something MAGICAL is happening in front of the camera.
Great to hear it! I'm hoping to make the 10/22 my first firearm, but I'm conflicted as to whether I should choose the classic Carbine, or the longer Rifle.
dude please answer sombody is it ok to dry fire a ruger 10/22. and if not i heard useing spent shells or snap caps can help prevent damage. so this may sound stupid maybe im overlooking some simple detail but how the hell do i get the spent shell or snap cap out of the chamber after dry firing it without cocking the gun again?
I'm not sure why you would want to dry-fire your 10/22, but I wouldn't worry too much about using snap caps. As long as you're not doing it a lot it shouldn't really harm the rifle to dry-fire it.
well snap caps saty in the gun and get stuck basically.. and the gun is also used for home protection and i cant be leaving a snap cap in the gun i want to keep it loaded and i dont really like leaving the gun cocked cause i forget and end up dry firing it anyway. all i know is it says its ok in the manuel and my friends ruger has been dry fired over 100 times easily and its still fine
He may want to start dry-firing with any firearm so that he'd start dry-firing with other, stronger-recoil guns in order to avoid developing a twitch reflex.
I understand that 22LR is one of the weaker-recoil calibers, but he probably wanted to know the extent of the damage dryfiring could do, which according to Ruger's site/FAQ, dry firing is not frowned upon.
I say all this because I'm excited to turn in my notarized application to the DOJ and I'm lookin' at the gun in question as my first!
thats cool.. I'm just using my 10 rounder now.. i had a 25 round butler creek plastic lips.. it soon became a target....im getting the steel lips next.. good stuff.. have fun
I actually have one of the Butler Creek steel lips 25 round mags. It works great for an extended magazine, but nothing beats the factory mags. I have four of them and I think I'll pick up a fifth.
Careful guys, there might be a couple bugs flying around.

It sounds like you're asking me if I am using a silencer. The answer is no. The .22 Lr is pretty quite as far as guns go.

looks like tons of fun, by the way how long did it take off and on? Doesn't matter I bet it was a blast regardless of how long it took.
solracoo3 2 years ago
I think it was only two separate days of shooting. Once we realized how little of the board was left we just had to finish it off.
ramseyrye 2 years ago
Doing stuff like that is a blast. and with a .22 its real cheap fun. Awesome!
rugertentwentytwo 2 years ago
A little less cheap every day, it seems, but still fun as hell!
