  • Careful guys, there might be a couple bugs flying around.

  • fmj's or hollow points?

  • @theswimer419 Pretty sure we were using fmj's, but it's been a while.

  • @ramseyrye No such thing as .22lr FMJ rounds, at least not available to the average person

  • Timber !!!

  • @realgungho Good times, good times!

  • Great way to have fun! Enjoyed the vid!

  • We always have fun when we're shooting!

Thanks a lot for the comment!

  • I also like the style of still camera with the lone post in the middle, dispelling all doubts as to what the focus of this vid is.

I love the banter in the background too, making the viewers curious as to what's going on while something MAGICAL is happening in front of the camera.

  • Thanks a lot for the comment!

We had a lot of fun that day.

  • Great to hear it! I'm hoping to make the 10/22 my first firearm, but I'm conflicted as to whether I should choose the classic Carbine, or the longer Rifle.

  • abine is much better than the long rifle i got mine a week ago

  • I love the 2nd amendment!

  • Me too!

  • It sounds like you're asking me if I am using a silencer. The answer is no. The .22 Lr is pretty quite as far as guns go.

  • dude please answer sombody is it ok to dry fire a ruger 10/22. and if not i heard useing spent shells or snap caps can help prevent damage. so this may sound stupid maybe im overlooking some simple detail but how the hell do i get the spent shell or snap cap out of the chamber after dry firing it without cocking the gun again?

  • I'm not sure why you would want to dry-fire your 10/22, but I wouldn't worry too much about using snap caps. As long as you're not doing it a lot it shouldn't really harm the rifle to dry-fire it.

  • well snap caps saty in the gun and get stuck basically.. and the gun is also used for home protection and i cant be leaving a snap cap in the gun i want to keep it loaded and i dont really like leaving the gun cocked cause i forget and end up dry firing it anyway. all i know is it says its ok in the manuel and my friends ruger has been dry fired over 100 times easily and its still fine

  • He may want to start dry-firing with any firearm so that he'd start dry-firing with other, stronger-recoil guns in order to avoid developing a twitch reflex.

I understand that 22LR is one of the weaker-recoil calibers, but he probably wanted to know the extent of the damage dryfiring could do, which according to Ruger's site/FAQ, dry firing is not frowned upon.

I say all this because I'm excited to turn in my notarized application to the DOJ and I'm lookin' at the gun in question as my first!

  • a slilencer?

  • use a 12 ga....one big boom...down goes board...

  • Been there, done that. A LOT! Just had to see if it could be done with the pea-shooter.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • looks like tons of fun, by the way how long did it take off and on? Doesn't matter I bet it was a blast regardless of how long it took.

  • I think it was only two separate days of shooting. Once we realized how little of the board was left we just had to finish it off.

  • Doing stuff like that is a blast. and with a .22 its real cheap fun. Awesome!

  • A little less cheap every day, it seems, but still fun as hell!

  • cool! and the place that was taken is beautiful :D

  • It really is a great place to shoot. It's my friends place, but he's in Alaska right now so I can't use the property.

  • alaska is beautifull, I shot my first 10/22 there cause the range owner's son let me try it

  • it sounds like a rly weerd paintball gun like an autococker or something... but still a rly good gun lol

  • Psh! m249 saw? more like 10/22 saw... xP

  • hell ya!

  • thats a good way to clear a forrest...WHILE HAVING FUN! :)

  • logging has never been so fun!

  • Thats a kill. good job

  • Ya, we killed the other boards we had as well. Guess next time I should use ply wood or particle board!

  • Thanks! Just plain fun.

  • hahah nice

  • lol thats a lumber kill!

  • Saw that did ya? ha ha!

    Thanks for the comment.

  • nice bro.i do this with big ol milk weeds.what fun hu?

  • Hell ya!

  • awsome , alot of flies out there

  • Thank you. There was a lot of bugs, but there are also a lot of cottonwood trees and they had started dropping their fluffy seeds.

  • lol

i did that to a sapling and then used it to make a bow:)

  • Nice work man. Check out my .22 lr trickshooting vids!

  • Thanks! I'll check yours out soon.

  • what are you using for magazines?

  • I use four of the factory 10 round mags. My friend uses a Butler Creek 25 round mag.

  • thats cool.. I'm just using my 10 rounder now.. i had a 25 round butler creek plastic lips.. it soon became a target....im getting the steel lips next.. good stuff.. have fun

  • I actually have one of the Butler Creek steel lips 25 round mags. It works great for an extended magazine, but nothing beats the factory mags. I have four of them and I think I'll pick up a fifth.

  • hell yer i waish we where allowed semi autos over here

  • ahh, semi autos love to jam! you really aren't missing much. Of coarse, when they work right, they are all kinds of fun!

  • That's more fun than using an ax. :)

  • Yeah!
