@afftonhocky2 Ibanez RG350EX (the early model with nice neck etc). And the humbuckers are Dimarzio X2N in the bridge and Dimarzio Tonezone in the neck.. The other guitar is one of eagles quality-guitars but i dont know wich one exactly.

@RawRPerfect No it's an old RG350EX , a little bit different than the new ones like: better neck and just feels better in the hands. The pickups are replaced with dimarzio x2n in the bridge and dimarzio tonezone in the neck and the singlecoil is the standard one ( s -something )

Hey, amazing dude, i only suggest you to have a look at the Portnoy's version (filmed live from his camera), there'a a floor tom hit just before the chorus, what I think is quite powerful! Also the way he crazyly hits the crash cymbal during that second part of the basic riff. Anyway, you're awesome, keep rockin'

@leonardoulian Thanks! i've always loved Portnoys drumming. But as for a7x he's not the perfect match. He is more of a "matamatical" drummer then the rev was. Therefor Portnoy is perfect for DT and transatlantic and the rev for a7x. We'll se how Arin suits for them. And dont get me wrong i like all 3 as drummers =D

Hey man how do you get that bass drum sound? Triggers? Or an awesome bass?

@84Mtac I use Two Mics and then i combine them to get that sound.... One at the front-skin to get the "bassy" sound and One at the beater-skin to get the "clicky" sound. And to make the sound even more clear i take away some middle from the two tracks that was recorded so that it doesn't interfear with the snare or toms. And make sure to boost some extra bass with an equalizer one the front-skin-track and boost the treable on the beater-head-track.... Got any of that?

@guitarsk8r11 To cut it short i use 4 jjlabs-mics for the toms and two mics for the snare and two mics for the bassdrum. one of the mics at the snare records the sound from the beater-head and the other mic picks up the sound from the snare-drum-strainer and then i mix them together in cubase5 to get the sound that i like. Same thing with the bass drum one att the beater-head to get the "clicky" sound and one at the back to get the bassy sound. the guitar is lined through a distortion-box

For instance, a lot of the fills are partly played with the bass drum, which is hard to see with this camera angle. Therefore it's easy to believe that some hits are left out. It's better to just listen if you're searching for faults. Part from that it is a very simple setup including some cheap microphones and cubase5 as DAW.

Here are the things I noticed; the verse at 0:50 is not played on the hats, but on the china; the chorus at 1:12 is played on the crashes and not the ride; the verse at 1:35 is once again, not on hats but on china; the chorus at 3:30 is once again, not on the ride but on the crashes and lastly all of the drumming on the ride is done on the bell, not on the bow. There are also a few fills that were missed. The guitar was solid.
