  • Gotta love all those tools!

  • Is there a such thing as "Larry Potterfield custom rifles?" If so, I want it!

  • @atreyuthegreat have you never heard of google instead of sking in a comment on youtube you should probably google it

  • great if you have a lathe!?

  • @flanjt13x3 if you do not have access to a lathe you should not be taking on this project

  • @jackoadeetayo1

if you know to weld properly theres no problem in welding just the ball to the handle. It'll take some more grinding and time, but it's easily doable

  • this guy makes chuck norris look like a bitch

  • So what do you do, if you have a semi with no bolt ? *shrugs* :P

  • @MadmanDKDK superglue

  • Being a gunsmith would be so kickass.

  • @top2percent it would that's my goal:)

  • @top2percent Go to school for it then.... Itn expensive but reasonable. I did my time and got my degree for it...

  • The bolt knob should be large for those frantic moments when you are about to experience the inside of a lions' intestine.

  • Larry, can you sign every firearm I own?

  • For all the haters yes you do need some special machinery to do this but youd be surprised how much it would cost if you took it to any general engineering shop and explained what you wanted, or maybe youve got a friend in the engineering game. I dont have a lathe at home no but I have access to 1 at work so its not impossible to do this stuff.

  • how does this asshole expect people to do this shit at home? i doubt most people dont have professional table top machines like this guy

  • @joeratti Sometimes doing it right means having the right tools and machines. It is cool to see how it's done, whether we have the machines or not

  • Let me just go out to my gun shop and make one on the leth. No problem pal!

  • damn you can sit at the side of this guys and watch him all day long.... to learn somethin

  • my ass , mr USA WITH HIS ASIAN MILLING MACHINE . JET, WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP .

  • lol this guy is kinda funny. He knows his stuff though and I've got respect for him.

  • Holy Christ, I'm actually having *fun* watching this guys videos. Keep up the great work, man - my entire family is learning how to maintain our rifles per your videos!

  • this guy is my hero

  • Nice work Mr. Potter!

  • @1LonePuma 5 points for griffindor.. I mean, 5 more big trophies on your wall XD

  • bloody ripper mate

  • this movie says mauser has best bolt handle :D

  • what would be needed to made it a perfect safari rifle?!?

  • @bazengao

Controlled feed action like the Mauser 98, or Pre-64 Model 70. Not to rip on the Remington actions, but the others offer a level of reliability unrivaled by an uncontrolled push-feed action. When you become the hunted, as is possible on a safari, Reliability becomes #1 and a gamble with less is a gamble with your life.

  • @KoonceTodd thanks!^^

  • You make it look so easy Larry.

  • Thanks for the upload, Larry! :-)

  • Beautiful job. I still prefer my Badger Ordnance bolt knob though

  • Thats perfect Larry

  • Great video. He makes it look easy, but it's very informative.

  • I agree. He does do a good Job with his videos.

  • Larry Potterfield, I want you to work on my gun!

  • Mauser still manufactures sporting versions of the model 98 in a variety of calibers, including those meant for big game. A little pricey, but it's still a brand-new mauser 98.

  • The craftmanship to hone that bolt handle was fantastic, and the sound it made coupled with its flawless action at the end of the demo was so good, it I tried to explain it, I may make you uncomfortable Larry. Once again your expertise are amazing

  • Once again Larry ......... great job. How great it would be to have your tools and skil using them.

  • i will soon im studying to become a millwright and know how to do all of that stuff all i would need is access to a lathe and a welder
