Effects are good, but you should have key-framed the glow and moved it with each frame so that the glow isn't stationary and instead follows the actors.

Basically you have copied harry potter in every single way... apart from the explosion...

the wands... the harry potter intro and exit... the green and red beams the clash and spill effect in the middle... and the background noise thats in the music was really unproffessional... and the effects were mediocre... look if you want to improve add more effects that you came up with on your own... instead of wands use your hands stuff... dont make it a harry potter fan fail...

If you ask me, the only spells you ever see are flying light balls or wands connecting. what happened to large magic snakes, fiendfyre, reductor curses, etc, etc? There are tonnnes of great curses that could be used!
