I swear, if i will ever own a radiostation, im going to play only this kind of music. Srsly, im a kid from '94 and im in LOVE with this song, and so are a very few of my friends... today's music aint music anymore :S
this is one of the true anthems of hippiedom! LONG LIVE THE HIPPIE!!!!! can I get a thumbs up that brothers and sisters?????!!!!!!! then splash on some pacohlii fire up a bomber and turn on the lava lamps!!!!
This was an "anthem" back in the day. We all played the heck out of this album when it first came out. It was one of those that just made you want to stand up, raise your fist, & sing along @ the top of you lungs! I still love it & still listen to it...40+ yrs. later...now THAT's the true test of time for any song!!
@hermitman100 Fantastic! I guess I'm considered an old broad but I listened to this when it first came out (we were the first to purchase it @ BT&R) and I still listen to it these days as well!
When is was 'pushing the buttons' of the fascist society, I loved long hair. Lived in a huge commune where nobody cut their hair, and saw and felt the benefit of hair from a neurological viewpoint, the ability to feel what others felt, but now the fascists adapted and it no longer has any social/cultural effect and fascism is 'full speed ahead' towards total human extinction. We need to find something else that will bring humanity back to sanity.
Every party i ever went to as a kid, played this album. Distinct memories. This was what turned me on to Neil Young.. Just for all the confused listener's out there that complain about today's music with repetitive comments. The reason the music Industry of today will never revert back to anything like this is this: The entire music industry is controlled as to what goes out to the public. It is social engineering. YOU WILL think, feel or be passionate only about what THEY want you to be about .
@THXcooper your points are valid but thanks to independent labels there is some hope , Ipicac recordings is gaining ground and releasing great alternative music and I'm sure there are more record labels fighting the good fight .
no one these days knows anything about music.its not about saying fuck all thetime.music is the strongest force in the world.its about ppl coming together and being at peace with each other.im 19 and wish the music of this era could come the hell back!
I'm still goin' through this , man. We were talkin' abou tit in the bar tonight. and played this song on the jukebox. reachin' back...the hair all feels nice in your fingers bu I ain't got no gal to tell me I look good...feel like I'm half gone to jesus.
please god, why cant there be music again? I listen to the radio; it leaves me feeling empty.wheres the talent? instead i get crap disquised as music. so sad.
little fucknuts like rihanna, chris brown, jutin bieber, lady gaga, are bought. They are then given tracks that are manipulated to effect you in a certain way, dont beleive me, look in to binaureal beats, and the effects of vibrations on the human body. Music today is put there to help control you, not to make you express your emotions like older music. WE ARE BEING DEHUMANIZED LETS ALL WAKE UP
This song is the reason I kept my hair.
