i recently got the left half of stages completed and just recently got around to the ark half of stages. this mission has been annoying me for a while now. did not know about the ring case at 1:45 which is probably why i spent so much time here. the stage as a whole actually isnt so bad imo, its the gravity physics on the small planets that piss me off.

Mad Space is by far the most horrendous stage there is. Even Cannon's Core and Crazy Gadget are no where near as annoying as Mad Space, imo.

Use the treasure scope at the start and by the 20 rings down below and it'll show you more than an astonishing 40 rings!!!

Ebay tends to have a lot of copys of the game too...

This was very helpful and I'm so glad people put up the A rank guides. One bid of advice for this one though...if you use the treasure scope right from the get-go you can grab a small circle of rings right from the starting point and a couple of 20s from the platform just below that.

I think you can finish this level even faster. See the platform you're on at 1:37? Use the Treasure Scope and I think there are 30 rings there.

after Sawtje2's idea, go to the area with the iron boxes and the 8 rings. Use the Treasure Scope. 20 hidden rings, took me 28 seconds.

I got an hidden tip for you: Try using your Tresure scope on the platform where you begin. The should be 20 rings there, and under the platform there should be another 40 rings and a 1 up ^_^

You know that platform with the 5 ring capsule? You should have used the Treasure Scope, revealing 10 ring capsule, and saving you time.

It's a 20, not a 10; and Treasure Scope on the starting structure reveals two more 20s plus 6 loose rings. Basically, that upgrade can be used to take off over 75% of the time you would be able to get without having it.
