@therotatingchinmen Glad to know you have another one up your sleeve, m8. As for wmg, given the amount of cash they've collected, they'll have to implode eventually : )
@britbluesfan Haha!! Say hello to your jolly secretary for me! Yes, I had my doubts about the ending, could very well be the case Stell, kinda clears up the fact why this guy is so obscure, nobody liked his music, lol!
@mrgoodvibrations Wouldn't know, as there seems to be no inkling on the artist whatsoever. It might very well be a moniker of somebody who we generally know. Apart from that, the song title and the performing artist is that which is stated.
The Teacher...how profetic the liner note is on that poster. I had one of those zombie things on my head once, drank all my liquor...LOL. ah yes, good to see Bette Page!! G-String panties? why does she look like she's carrying a package...LOL? Sex Kittens!! holy hell, there were alot of well known names in that...John Carridine and Martin Milner for 2, and Tuesday Weld. I remember a parody of her some where on TV , in the 60's where the characters name was, Tuesday Wednesday!! Well done blooz!
@hippy4life4 I was wondering if anyone would notice that scrumpled sock-like object in the woman's knickers... spot on, lol! Haven't seen Sex Kittens yet, but reading what you've written, I think I'll go bother with the torrent sites! Cheers guv!! : )
Was dating a lady who slapped some MEAN doghouse then & we'd go to blues jams, where we proceeded to knock folks sideways with rockabilly swing - raw as a side left out of the locker & twice as fragrant. It was heaven. ;)
@SwingMan1937 I hear ya, life was always most fun when you're a young hell-bent lad handled by a chain gang woman! And thanks for the kind compliment, Sir! : )
@SwingMan1937 Sounds like a Joan Jett pulling a mean "Lee Rocker". I say, a bird playing an upright makes a statement on its own. You're lucky you're still alive old boy : )
@bloozmonkey111 Well, to tell the truth, she looks like a cross between a young Juliette Lewis & a young Patsy Cline with a kind of Betty Page (sp?) haircut who could slap an upright damn near into submission - with plenty of soul to boot. Thanks to her, I was able to play a short intermission set with Royal Crown Revue, who her band "Flathead" was opening for at the Rockin' Horse Saloon in 1996.
Still see her around now & then - though she's mellowed just a bit, she's still swingin'. :)
@SwingMan1937 RCR is great! Flathead I don't know, but it sounds like good and proper racket given they opened for the RCR gig. I heard a rumor saying Brian formed the BSO after listening to the Royal Crown playing at a bar called the Blue Cafe in the early 90s. Could that be true?
@bloozmonkey111 Yeah, "Flathead" was a local Phoenix, AZ. band - damn fine rockabilly/western swing outfit heavily influenced by Bob Wills. Band's long since defunct (as is the Rockin' Horse, thanks to a 1998 fire), but Ruth's still gigging around.
Don't know about the RCR/BSO story, but, IMO, if it's true, Setzer couldn't have picked a better contemporary influence/template - there's bands that play "swing music", but the boys with RCR really know how to SWING. ;)
I'd bet his name was Walter Stone but his mates called him 'Water Stone' for a laugh, so it stuck... Great track Monkey Man, it's the punk of its time!
I'm all for being corrupted by teachers!

@bloozmonkey111 Yes indeed, though she was kind enough to handle me just a bit more gentle than that upright she filled a room with. ;)
Jet black hair, 5' 8" and 112 pounds of pure hellfire on that doghouse when the drummer (me) got going on a 4/4 stomp. :)
