i gave up on blow drying my hair. i have actual natural curl and it takes up to 3 hours for it to completely dry. what sucks for curly hair is that when you try to add that much heat to damp curls it just makes it frizzy because of the hummidity from it. and the curlier your hair is the worse it is =/

No, I see her point though. Wavy hair is a form of curly hair. Just like kinky is the most extreme of curly hair, while wavy is a looser curl type.

Not all hair is curly if it's wavy, my hair is short and I don't use product, so there is no weight, and it only waves, not curls.

Of course this girls hair is curly?!?! I can't believe what I'm reading. There are different types of curls. All curls are S shaped when you pull them. And she stated clearly that if you have fine curly hair don't let it air dry, which is right, she also said that if you have tight naturally bouncy curls don't blow dry to much. I do this and it works just fine on my hair and I have VERY curly hair.

Uhm, no. I thought that wavy hair was just that: wavy hair...and curly hair is Exactly that: curly. I have curly hair, however, if I don't have it cut for a while, then maybe it will relax into waves. There is a HUGE difference between having wavy hair and having curly hair. What do you mean an "S" shape is a curl? Unless the letter "piral" are added to the 'S" (a.k.a. Spiral), I doubt it's a natural curl. Just saying...:/

My hair is uber thick and down to my waist so i have no curls underneath but lots on top. Using a diffuser just gives me some dry fluffy bits on top of my head, last time I used one it took over an hour to dry. who has thin curly hair too?

If the wieght of the water is pulling the so called curl down then that person's hair is NOT curly. I have curly hair and it HAS to be air dried because curly hair is the dryest hair because of the spiral shape the natural oils down travel fluidly from root to end. If your hair has a true curl, you dont need this stupid drying technique. This is for people with loose wavy hair who have to FORCE their hair into a curl pattern.

dont dry ur hair with a diffuser for too long or it will get freezy. leave it a lil damp at the end and let it dry naturally

@ILYPEACE4 technically anything that isn't straight is considered curly (according to cosmetology school). My hair is about 1 inch ringlets sometimes though it just looks S shaped depending on how much and what product i use. so she knows whats up. perhaps just needs to go into further detail. and weed out the ones who don't know hair basics. And it doesn't frizz or poof if you do it correctly. Its for curly hair that needs volume, if you have it don't do it.

@ILYPEACE4 I thought the samething! I have super curly hair too and Ive been using a diffuser now for a couple of months and could not go back to air drying. My hair is ready and dry in 20 its insane! Your hair won't frizz, after you wash your hair, put your same product in it and finish with hairspray then blow dry your hair with the diffuser and you will be amazed. I used gel as a base then moose to scrunch then hairspray as a finisher. try it and let me know...

yeah that was funny, i was one of the "NO, its just wavy!" after years of hating my wanna be wavy hair, i was just told by a stylist that its curly.. and boy was i amazed when i walked out of that salon with the curliest bounciest hair. it is 100% in the technique and product. now why cant expert village number their videos so we can make some sense out of all these tiny clips?
