It's amusing how aside from Konata, Kagami is the most energetic and wild in the opening, when she's typically the most reserved and dignified character of the show. I actually like her a lot more than Konata, I've always favoured the "Straight Man" act more than the "Funny Man" act as they're typically the backbone of any comedy pairing.
