  • Thanks for this video, Elvis. Who knew it would be difficult to find a video on how to tie off a ladder? I am not comfortable with heights and was looking for a way to tie off a ladder and your solution is perfect! I don't know why I didn't think of it myself. Thank you very much!

  • i got here from this /watch?v=XSnkcUiWe-s&feature=g-u&context=G271a0b1FUAAAAAAABAA

  • You r great brother! Thank u!

  • try doing that on a welsh slate roof in the rain in the uk

  • try doing that on a welsh slate roof

  • Nice..I like it! best vid on roof safety so far!

  • If you want to be extra safe, wear a bicycle helmet.

  • You have some good ideas, but i have a product that take it one step further, The bilgin roof dock. It is the first and only ladder safety device that can be permenant or job to job,and will last forever. Keeps ladder secure and also prevents gutter damage. check it out. Every home should have at least one,or best before each downspouts for total safety. Your customers will thank you.

  • Thanks, it is real teaching.

  • This was really helpful. Thanks for posting this and I'm going to check out some of your other videos.

  • I like the tips but have a question. My spouting is put on with plastic straps. Are those plastic ones safe to put the tarp straps around or would you suggest using something else?

Also is it safe to use a bungee cord with medal hooks as an alternative to tarp straps?

  • Elvis you are the Prince of Roof....Bless your blond brain.

  • ty ...just try to walk on studs

  • some great tips, just about to do a garage roof getting on and the ladder is my biggest concern alot of soft spots and sagging.

  • The way you lift that ladder casually made me laugh. I nearly dropped mine twice and smashed the window. Nice safety video, I was cleaning out the gutters yesterday and never thought to use bungee ties

  • Hey Elvis, you left your camera guy up there... nice advice, thanks...

  • very good

  • wow.. I'm building a tree house for my daughter, and I'm scared like hell and can't wait for the shingles to be over with..so I'm putting up the ladder, and I said, screw this, found this video and voila..THANK YOU !!!!!!!

  • elvis (you hound-dog) how many rungs of the ladder did you extend Above the roof line? ...THAT'S the Trickiest part, getting off the ladder onto the roof and then existing the roof and getting back on the ladder

  • Thanks.

  • @teledriver19 no sweat

  • Im in the solar industry and can't tell the number of times I see carelessness and total disregard for safety. As your vids show, it only takes 5 min to setup your gear and do it right. Why risk it?

  • @midland426 i agree

  • Another great video... Thanks for sharing your knowledge...

  • @sinsagoodmansbrother glad i can help

  • You left cameraman on the roof.

  • I am a home owner with a wife a two kids. I just went up on my roof yesterday to clean the gutters, and almost fell off. I was cocky and ignorant. No safety at all. Your videos have helped mr to realize my stupidity. As far as I am concerned your videos will have saved me from injury or even death....THANK YOU.

  • @drtooke man this is why i do it

  • ThANKS !!!

  • @jojodwolf no prob

  • Cool
