  • hate these akumas. run away and air fireball spam so lame.

  • wow... Nemo's Chun-Li is freakin' beast. Great zoning skills and solid offense when Akuma gets in range. I hate Akuma's/Seths that sit around doing that all day... At least he paid the price for it in the end. lol

  • Pussy Akuma got raped

  • wtf is up with that GAY akuma

  • wth was with 1.42? shudnt that has 3 layer? can we FA it?

  • @secholian

Its a back-dash, it grants you temporary immunity, so he FADC backwards and sucked up one hit and then was immune to the remaining one. Its so-so-ish in difficulty in pulling it off and nearly impossible online (lag) but definitely do-able.

  • @secholian There are variations of which punch you use for Shakunetsu, 3 hits is heavy, and i know jab is one hit, maybe medium is 2?

  • It was a light punch Shaku- only 1 hit.

  • On the first round, the Chun-li was definitely owning Akuma's ass! (sorry if I'm being a fan right now, lol).

I've been a Chun-li fan ever since I was a little girl, she's my favorite character of all time and I idolize her because she's so strong and can be so pretty! She rules!

My favorite part of this match was was at the last moment where I worried and thought she was going to lose and suddenly to fights with her super combo and wins!

Sick fight, it was so amazing!

  • That's because the Chun-Li player stopped being all about technique and began out-thinking Akuma's player in round 3; in the first round Chun-Li dominated, in all likelihood, because of Chun-Li's natural advantages against players who hop and/or charge a lot -- like this Akuma player did (he got smart though after that).

  • Lol I lose watching Fireball spammers lose. Awesome chun li

  • can someone explain the random ultra from nemo in the second round?

  • its not random. usually he would have dashed forward which would increase the range of his ultra but unfortunately he didnt so he got punished for it. it was probably just a mistake

  • I guess he overestimated the range and speed of his ultra and thought he'd hit the other player coming down from the jump... >.>

  • Nemo's Chun Li is way too good.

  • Would be better if... Nemo? .... capitalized on certain moments where he/she could've won much earlier...

... much easier done with an outsider's perspective or with retrospect/hindsight, I guess, rather than in-the-moment.

  • Excellent Chun Li player! D:

    gg

  • Always love watching Akuma lose.

  • LOL The likely reason for that is your are always losing to Akuma players.

  • Nah, haven't met that many players yet myself who know how to use him.

  • GAMERTAG: KoOPa 1981

props to chung li ......i like that when rd. 2 starts it's the typical fireball match with both players moving quite well....and then ....it happens chung li throws the ultra falls just short and akuma does a NICE high level combo........is Y i LIF MANG....

  • That Akuma is fuckin' crazy. Personally I would say he's a lot better than the Chun-Li.

  • Why is he better? Because he has flashier combos? That's a scrub mentality, dude. It's about outsmarting the opponent and winning, not cool moves.

  • Is that why he lost?

  • The Chun-Li didn't really make and combo variations while the Akuma does. The Akuma only did two combos, however, they varied greatly from each other's; while Chun-Li's didn't vary at all, but there's nothing wrong with that.

  • I don't think any of that shit matters when you STILL LOST.

  • I think the Chun Li player did what was best when he could. Probably isn't much chance of finding an opportunity for a combo against that Akuma with Chun.

  • That was beautiful finish. I learn a few combos watching this fight.

  • It's more about prediction of your opponent and trying to outsmart them. I guess you have to get to a certain level of play to really know what the game is about.

I'm slowly getting there :D But I'm enjoying it along the way!

  • Eventually at the top levels the prediction ability yields diminishing returns; its about consistency, perfecting instincts, PRECISION (so that you don't screw up when you do something ballsy).... all amounting on capitalizing on your opponents' WEAKNESSES and turning their strengths against them.

    Fighting smarter, not harder ;)

    Optimization, if anything else. :)

  • I would often use Gouki in older S.F. games, I dont know how to make him do his origional super combo though, Chun li...

I think it often just takes backwards then forward kick moves.

Right? or is it something else?

  • in SF4 if you play whit akuma you have to play mainly zonin and spacinf cause if your rush fails a super can kill you , akuma have 80% of healt , when the normal it is 100 and the max i think that it is zangief whit 120

  • The end was so tense

  • I like that combo he did with Akuma from 2:25-2:28

  • MMM~ tasty punishment

  • they teach you that in hard trials, actually =P

    or something like it

  • that was a great match! fun to watch.

  • boring akuma pussy

  • i sure love watching those defensive akumas, really interesting matches!

  • i find it boring. but kanbara's turtle style isn't so bad..

still i like momochi's rush - turtle style

  • i was being sarcastic... guess i should've added a smiley.

  • lol yeah that sarcasm was a bit ambiguous :P

  • HAHAHA Sarcasmz! good 1 man , that chun-li was damn good to win against the akuma turtle .

  • always a long fight with him

  • nuki handled nemo in a tournament match

  • Ah what a satisfying ending- Kanbara was nasty with his zoning. I personally find Nemo very exciting to watch.

  • Nuki is better than Nemo imo. But Nemo is still a great player.

  • nah, nemo is better.

    Look at their wining percentages.

  • Well, Nuki beat Nemo. It isn't all about winning percentages.

  • one match doesn't mean anything. Consistency is the key.

  • You can't simply rely on statistics. You have to consider the different levels of opponents they have played. They both have played really tough opponents, but someone might have played a lot more than the other. We don't know. Statistics are a very bad measurement of a player's skill.

  • true but both these guys play in sakura inn were I play, the player quality there is always top notch. They're not beating noobs to gain those ratios

  • Comment removed

  • on the contrary, nemo is the best chun player i have ever seen

  • better than nuki?
