  • I have cocker spaniel of 3 months old her name is Samantha she's sleeping

  • EY UP mI oWLD Cocker Spaniel

  • my cocker spaniel is super happy and loveable. she thinks everyone is her friend, we will be walking and someone will walk by and she will try to jump up and greet them.

  • @Youdontknowyet Sooooooo Sweeeeeettttt <3

  • i have a cocker spaniel and hes sweet! <3 he acts tough though, but when hes near a lot of people he hides behind me. xD though i have to say they are very high maintenance.

  • I have a cocker spaniel. She has changed my life! I rescued her from a puppy mill. she was a breeder. she was 18 lbs, solid mat and covered in fleas and ticks. She is now healthy, happy and spoiled beyond belief. she had some aggression issues but it took about a year to get over that. She is friendly to everyone and all dogs now. I'm a dog groomer so she gets groomed monthly!

  • An aggresive cockerspaniel? Id love to see one strangely. Mine acted tough but would run over to me whining when a stranger came near. She was such a little wuss and I miss her. :(

  • I have a 1 year old English Cocker Spaniel called Bonnie. She is the most gentle and loving dog I could ever ask for. She has never shown any aggression to other dogs, people or objects. She is very smart and athletic, I just love her to bits!

  • @NintendogLucky Omg! my cocker's bonnie too :)

  • I had a cocker spaniel for 13 years, he was a beautiful dog, i miss him.

When he got to around 10 he developed a tendancy to growl if he was in his bed and didn't want to be disturbed, he never snapped though and it never went past growling, he was just getting older and wanted a bit of peace when he was resting.

I did mention it to my vets though , he checked him out and said that a lot of cockers tend to get grumpier as they get older.

We didn't care he was our baby

    RIP Alfie XX

  • i wish my cocker was more agresive becase he wont fight to save his or my life

  • Any comments on "cocker rage"

  • I have a Cocker Spaniel and she is sweet as can be but... she can get angry and she WILL bite and draw blood. She only bites my husband and won't bite me! lol

  • @ElleOnEarth liberal idiots like you shouldn't owned dogs.

  • I just adopted 9 moths old cocker , and he has been in cage most of the time when he was with the previous owner.... please help, how to email u?

  • I had to put my black cocker down in aug. he was just over 16 yrs. I got him from a mom and pop breeder, my first dog purchase. He hated kids and other dogs, never could cut his nails, he tollerated grooming. Its to bad, I loved him until the end. If I ever get another cocker I'll do more research on thr breeder.

  • English Cockers for the win!! I have a ten year old and he's the best dog ever, great with people, other dogs, children... And a superior retriever! We had three at one point include one which was a rescue and had a shit life before he came to us... And he could get agressive aswel, and yes they can be very difficult then...As he got older he mellowed out a lot though and made it to 16.5 years old

  • How can you tell if you have a English cocker spaniel or a American cocker spaniel ? What's the differnece? Becuase I want to get another cocker exactly like the one I had that died on Friday:( his name was rocky

  • @shannon2910 English have longer noses, and are generally a bit bigger, also their coat is not as pronounced...Both are just as lovely though

  • @smurfz00 that only happens to the golden ones

  • Its true i have a cocker spaniel and from my expirience their one or could even be the most loyal, loving, sweet dog there is....

  • Comment removed

  • I've got a four month old cocker bitch and she's just the most affectionate dog ever! not an ounce of bad in her and whenever she meets another dog, all she wants to do is play! Spends a lot of time around a 2 year old baby and she's great with her! Definitely recommend this breed if there's kids involved! Check out "Pepe the pup" th see her!

  • I never knew Cocker Spaniels were very nice.

I thought it was just my cocker spaniels that weren't aggressive. I find them very lovable and adorable.

They're always happy to see people and love chasing birds :)

  • The cocker spaniel got his name for being sufficient at flushing out game... notoriously the 'woodcock'

  • You need a video on the English Cocker Spaniel (-:

  • i agree i cant find any on youtube =(

  • Cockers are the dogs most gentle of all. My not barking even when the vaccine, and never tried to bite anyone.

  • Only dogs I've ever been bitten by:

    1)Dalmation

    2)Cocker Spaniel

    Bad owners, probably.

  • There are two variations on the breed -The American cocker spaniel and the English Cocker spaniel both look quite different to each other

  • they are the breed for me plus i get the bonus that i am a professional groomer =P

  • i have 8 working cocker spaniels and they are amazing dogs never met a vicious one yet..

  • i know this guy loves cockers

  • why is it called the "cocker" spaniel?

  • it used to chase a bird called woodcock in england

  • thanks

  • You've had 7 cockers but dont know why they are called cocker spaniels?

Man you are one ignorant fuck..next time maybe dont be so eager to call people 'dumbfuck' when obviously your the true clown.Loser

  • mines a shit head but hes pretty bad ass too

  • Im getting a cocker spaniel in August!!!

  • want to buy mine(s)... puppies...

  • me too at 1st august or 2nd after i'm back from holidays.I am getting an english you?

  • my cocker spaniel is full blood, and short haired she is so pretty

  • My cocker spaniel is so adorable :D

But I have trouble training her. Just this morning she broke my mom's ancient vase. Gah.

  • I am about to adopt a cocker

    from the shelter this friday.

    he is so cute.

  • The only dog I was bitten by was a cocker spaniel when I was a kid

  • I doesnt matter what the breed is, its how they're brought up. Just like children.

  • cause ur a tard

  • fyi ive had 7 cocker spanielles dumbfuck!

  • maybe but you dont know that.

    Wish you peace

  • Luv these dogs . How much walking do they need a day .

  • I have a coker spaniel they are hunting dogs. So i guess one nice long walk a day or every two days.

  • There are two types or Cocker spaniels.

Showing, and working, working cockers will need more exercise than show types. :)

  • I had 5 Cocker Spaniels and they were all very sweet, lively and loyal. Great dogs! But I've heard that they were overbred and there are some problem ones out there. There are also problem owners. So research the dog breed you are interested in, research the parents and be a good owner. Take care of your dog and show it love and 99% of the time, the dog will respond lovingly!

  • Yep, really if a dog is aggressive or truobled it either comes from it's parents or the previous owner was abusive.

  • Great Dogs! I love them too =D

  • I have never been without a cocker spaniel since I was 18..the boy dog I have now(Harleigh D Kelly) came from Woodstock,Ontario; He will be 10 on May 23rd...he just learned to open fridge door, get a beer (in bag) bring it then return and shut the fridge door. It is on YOU TUBE somewhere....he learned that in 'FIVE tries..20 minutes !! NOTHING is as loving and intelligent as a cocker .He has gotten his AATCh and Bronze Award of merit..(AGILITY).hasown skateboard, etc. I JUST LOVE HIM!!!!

  • who ever said u cnt teach an old dog new tricks i wrong. im only 14 and my dog is 8.

ive recently trained him to jump and take newspapers out the door with only the command of fetch it. yes hes awsum. he does high five and beg and rllover aswell. his dad was a champion dog.

  • I have 2 cockers and they are both very sweet, kind-hearted dogs that are gentle and patient.

  • I have an adorable cocker spaniel. It is true. There are some cockers that are very docile and very sweet but there are others who have an aggressive-diva attitude like my cocker, but I still love her.

  • I LUV MY COCKER SPANIEL!!!

    his name is murphy!!!!

  • I might get a cocker spaniel soon :D...hopefully that it i saw it its so cute i hope i can get it :D

  • ive got 3 cockers and thir brillent

  • I love cocker spaniels, too. I've had mine for over 7 years. We ALWAYS take him to get groomed. But here's a problem.

My cocker spaniel has a skin allergy. He has all of these dry spots all over his body, they're all flaky, we've given him lots of meds but it never works. Anyone have this problem?

  • well, mine got skin allergy too, but only maybe like twice a year. This last time, my vet gave me this liquid that should hopefully cure it.

  • can you tell me the specific name please? thanks

  • We did the elimination diet with our cocker. She's allergic to meal (corn and such) and is doing great with sweet potato and salmon kibble right now. Just introduce a new food every few weeks.

  • okay, thanks a lot! =]

  • I bet it is primary seborrhea...bathe regularly with a high tar content shampoo and try a low dosage of Vanectyl (always with advice of Veterinarian...a 'scraping sent for testing will show IF it is primary seborrhea or not. (Mange is also a possibility!!) other than that, allergies...oats and milk by products are often the culprits !!

  • I love my cocker, he is just about 4 years old now..he was a great puppy got along really well with my other dog that I have had for years then when Cole *my cocker* got to be about 2 they just started fighting CONSTANTLY bad..blood drawn fights..its heartbreaking..my cocker is the one who starts the fights he's VERY aggressive towards my other dog, yet very loving towards me..he's a bit silly and standoffish too..but I love the lil feller..

  • I Luv my cockers. They need alot of loving care.

  • i have two cockers if you have any problems turn to cesar millan this guy is great....

  • working cockers are different so most of this doesn't apply!!

  • any dog can be agresive..

  • i love cocker spaniels mines sitting nxt 2 me right now

  • I have been blessed to have shared my life with two cocker spaniels. They are pure love and affection. They are the sweetest little angels.

When I die, I want to go where cocker spaniels go. I simply adore them.

  • I have working cocker spaniel and she's 19 weeks old and she's adorable!!!!WE love her

Is it normal for them To not like the water.

Will she just grow out of it

  • hi i have a female cocker i was wundering if anyone had one that liked to smuther your face ive been told that this breed do this is it true dont get me wrong cos i love it she loves me shes my baby

  • thats what my old cocker spaniel did and it was female

  • my cocker is always scared

  • i have 2 well had 5 puppies but the mother killed one and we gave 3 away and kept one because my dad fell inlove with it

  • my parents have a cocker and he is the sweetest.

  • I have three.....and I love them

  • My cockers are great. They LOVE Kids, they're sweet and they're easy going. I don't brush them everyday because I keep their coats short (its easy to groom them yourself with a pair of clippers). You should really only keep their coats long if they're going to be primarily indoors... otherwise numerous things will get caught up in it (sticks, prickers, leaves etc).

  • i havea cocka poo mix between cocker spaniel and puddle

  • yeah i have cocker spaniel before that so very hyper active but they are so great and very playful....

  • i have cocker spaniel.. ang his name is chubs..very cute..

  • You are right about the behavior....I rescued and loved two cockers who were fear biters and very neurotic (sp)....Now I have my #3 rescue cocker who is so sweet & easy going. I will follow your advice, if possible, next time, to check the parents! Of course, this is easier said than done. Thank you so much for your input!

  • Cocker Spaniels are wonderful, I'm a proud owner of one and she is my baby.

I do agree with you, anyone looking for a cocker you must research the parents. Cockers are known to get Rage Syndrome, thats the last thing you want your cocker to have. D:

  • hey i have a cocker aswell im just wondering wat are the syptmons of rage syndrome ? plz wb because my cocker smtimes growls at people quite often .

  • I would suggest doing some research on rage syndrome. The most common symptom is the dog suddenly attacking with out reason. Like, if its sleeping and just randomly attacks someone. Growling at people doesn't really mean your cocker has rage syndrome. It could just be people aggressive. My first cocker was like that.

  • Great Dogs! I love them too =D

  • yeahhhhh..i love my two cockers...my girl is so smart and my boy is such a typical male but they are both gorgeous..mine are not aggressive but my male will growl at new people from time to time..my girl is gentle and so is my male.i groom them myself..love em.

  • yeahhhhh..i love my two cockers...my girl is so smart and my boy is such a typical male but they are both gorgeous..mine are not aggressive but my male will growl at new people from time to time..my girl is gentle and so is my male.i groom them myself..love em.

  • I had a blond American Cocker Spaniel for 16 years and 8 months. She was sweet and very sensitive to my moods. Very playful, and an absolute pleasure to grow with. She passed away last June and is sorely missed.

  • You must train a dog & be the boss. This is not cruel, most all animals have a "pecking", or social order. You are the leader or the dog is-you make the choice. It took 2 weeks to potty train our CS(3 mos. old when we got him). I do not apply human standards to an animal, although they thrive on love as do humans. Our Cocker is not whipped, a scolding is devastating to him & he tries to avoid it. Cockers are not for most folk. Coat groomed daily, ears once a week, eyes daily-you get the idea.

  • Thanks for your comments.

  • My 3 cockers came from a rescue agency, so I wasn't able to research their lineage, but was willing to take a known risk. They are improving greatly from some behavioral problems related to neglect/abuse. Love the breed, love my girls.

  • My mother-in-law had a CS puppy who was trouble. My boyfriend & I took the doggie home with us for a few weeks & we potty trained her & taught her the basic commands. She was an angel! Well, we gave her back & within 2 weeks his mom had managed to undo all the training cuz she didn't want to enforce any rules or discipline the dog. She felt it was "mean." Now the dog is a nightmare, jumping on tables & eating people's food, pooping wherever it wants, barking NON-STOP & destroying furniture. Sad.

  • basically the working cocker spaniel is a superior dog to the Show variety and a lot less maintenance a great hunting dog unlike its show cousin.

And to be totally honest a much superior in both gene and looks ..It has been bred for its brain not to please someone vanity..

  • Thank you.

  • I have two 4 year old Cocker Spaniels. They are our babies. We've never had any problems, they're great with people and LOVE kids.

  • I am a concerned citizen looking for someone to rescue 2 pure bred cocker spaniels that are being neglected by my neighbors. I have contacted all of the authorites and Im tired of jumping through hoops. These dogs need immediate help. I have been feeding them for over a month but we have again experienced an ice storm and these dogs are OUTSIDE in below zero wind chills...Please somseone respond.

  • I would contact Cocker Spaniel rescue. Their website is: CockerSpanielRescue dot org. I'm sure someone there would be able to help you. I can't believe that the animal control officer in your area won't help.

  • call the police!!!!! as soon as possible! poor dogs!! get help!

  • Please don't get me wrong, I'm not weak or a tree hugger. I've done a LOT of things in Vietnam & other places in the world. Served 4 yrs. as a Military Police, etc. If I see you(your neighbors) mistreat an animal, I am "in your grill." Those people are damned lucky I'm not their neighbor.

  • Thanks for your video. There is a cocker spaniel cross that I might be adopting from a pound. It is about 1 year old. My only concern is, whether he gets along with cats or not. I have 3 cats who are around 13 years old. We walked the cocker spaniel past the cat cages and he didn't bark. He is quite timid, I think he was abused. Apparently he doesn't get along with dogs. Any advice would be appreciated, as I woud really love to rescue him!

  • Its not really the dog you will have the problem with it will be the cats. We just adopted a cocker and we already had a cat. The dog will just stare at the cat and when the cat hisses the dog will chase. You might need to put the cats confined in a room. We have our cat in the master bed room and we let them have breif supervised interactions. Play it by ear and good luck.

  • I got a black one, a week ago, and he can already sit, and lay down!

  • Do you have any experience with Alaskan malamutes?

    Thank you!

    Matt

  • I agree with him. I have a Cocker Spaniel I just adopted and she is one of the most sweetest and most lovable dogs I've ever had. She is wonderful with little kids, she is very good natured. Though you most go to a very good breeder and you must meet the mother. The only nervous Cocker I've met was at agility.

  • We got a Cocker Spaniel 5 months ago. we were told while phoning people that golden cocker spaniels are becoming quite aggresive here (UK). So we got a black one and he's sooo cute.

  • please do a video about miniature schnauzers
