This scene was filmed at the Suez motel in Miami. They offered nightly entertainment for their patrons. The owner let Lewis film this scene on their beach in exchange for being that evening's entertainment. Can you imagine catching this as a customer at happy hour?
I was thinking the same when I saw this scene... but this is not the best part, that was nearly at the end when the killer almost murder the chick in the Egyptian party...
thank u swonetchko! HG Lewis started a subgenre of films that paved the way for future horror classics and icons (savini, de rossi). i just met him at the rue morgue festival of fear and he knows the film business just as well as those big wig studio execs. Blood Feast is without a doubt the most underrated horror film in history (with the exception of Black Christmas)due to its future influence on the genre.
Others gore masters was Wes Craven, Tobe Hopper, George A. Romero, The Italians Ruggero Deodato, Umberto Lenzi, Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento; Frank Hennenloten, Bryan Yuva, etc.
This movie should be officially re-classified as a comedy.

I don't know what to do: either rofl or go and murder someone. Seriously, it's not easy to be a good actor vut this... can't be too easy either.

too violent for MST; after they did "Five the Hard Way" they stopped doing anything relatively hardcore from the 60s.

@Lightstrikers MST is horse sh*t. They aren't anywhere near as good as the so called "bad" movies they make fun of. Get a clue.

This one Color Me Blood Red and 2001 Maniacs were pioneering gore classics! Love all three!

Hilarious! My favourite part is the guy waving the red torch over and back pretending to be a police car's flashing light!

It was the first ever gore film, & Herschel Gordon Lewis was a marketing GENIUS, even wrote a book recently on business management.
