Thanks for posting this! The assist shown at both 1:26 and 3:19 (same goal) is still the greatest pass I've seen in 25 years of watching the NHL. It's unfortunate for younger fans (just younger than me) who are too young to have seen Gretzky with Edmonton, and saw him only with L.A. (50% of what he was in Edm.) or with the Rangers (20% of what he was). His nine seasons in Edmonton are the most dominant seasons by any athlete, ever, in any North American pro sports league.
oilerfanatic, you've obviously noticed that most of the highlight reels of Gretzky on youtube look the same (because the clips just use the highlights from that "Utlimate Gretzky" DVD). Good job putting up some of those which were left out! Similarly, somebody needs to find the film of Gretzky from the 96-97 playoffs against the Devils (2nd round); he recorded some ridiculous assists which have never been shown since. Any chance you've got those as well?
