i beat him first try no problem. i had more trouble with the plague lord. he beat me the first time pretty quickly. second time i had little trouble, such a difference when you get the right mana. i am gonna try to beat the game at a low level, just not sure what class yet, prolly rogue to make things interesting.

Hm. In the DS version, only one of the companions speak. :( And yeah, I play a Druid Girl and ditched the flirtatious princess as a companion when I already had too many of them. She was annoying and probably the most useless (since there are more evil enemies than good).

Side quests. Do them all and you'll have more companions than places in your party for them.

I myself done it with a "Fire Bomb" spell learned from the dark dwarf - it deals 5 damage to your enemy at the point of his or hers turn. I played with a druid.

I don't use apart from the occasional Sword of Sirian.

My stats + items give me 270 Life Points and i hit 14 on three standard skull with no full manna, or 34 with all full manna reserves.

I still have 70 skill points to buy from my citadel so i can improve anything easily and i'm verging to more moral

What do you all think?

Hey, ya think such an armor set would be efective: Imperial helm (20% chance to bring any damage down to 1 damage), Armor of Minogoth (15% earth resistance and 1 damage protection), Great axe (50% chance of an extra turn when dealing damage), and ultimate troll ring (+3 to health every turn when blue mana is 12+)

Might work well if you cast as few spells as possible and keep your blue mana up. But it also depends on what spells you do have, and also your stats.

Get rid of regeneration, swap it for a spell that allows you to use one of your mana types as a shield, if available. That and "resetting the board" type spells are the only ones you should be using against him. And use them very sparingly. You may also want to do the side quests to increase your skills. I wouldn't try taking on Lord Bane before you get to level 50, you want to have every advantage you can.
