  • I agree with Asa that Bo has gotten soft in the head (and still is), especially after the unspeakable things that Elizabeth (and the fake Bo) did to their family, which resulted in the loss of Didi. I don't recall ever seeing Elizabeth again after this scene, probably because there was nothing more to say in the storyline, and I was glad to see Jamie and Ursula go. Phil Carey and Lois Kibbee were great actors and have been missed. The show could really use people like them now.

  • Elizabeth had saved Tina and Cord from being killed by Jamie and Ursla in the wrestling arena. She gave Tina a trail in which is posted here on you tube.

  • OLTL was smart to keep bringing actors like Jill Larson and Lois Kibbee back, and the man who played Jamie. I wouldn't mind seeing Jamie or Ursula again.

  • Was this around the time that Asa had his Christmas Carol Scrooge episode?

  • Elizabeth seems like such an interesting character.

  • With the exception of Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser, daytime no longer has any grande dames such as Lois Kibbee. That makes me sad. All we have now are soap harpies.

  • @dereka79 Soaps used to be a haven for such complex and interesting women. Now they are a breeding ground for the ugliest and most degrading stereotypes against women.

  • So, true, CarlD2 -- so true. One of the best examples of this is GH. I do not watch that show anymore because it seems that the majority of the women on that show are just plain stupid, consistently falling for (and getting impregnated by) and making excuses for Sonny and Jason, two common hoods. OLTL is no better with Blair and Tea constantly running back to Todd, a man who has done nothing but abuse and lie to them.

  • The soaps now seem to think that viewers like to see men who are cold and distant and who are abusive to women. That's the jumping off point. Who are these shows being written for? It makes me sad to see OLTL become this way because they had such strong women up to the late 90s.

  • @dereka79 Maybe that's just one of the many reasons why GH's ratings are in the toilet. It's kinda funny because soap operas were originally directed towards a female audience. I haven't watched GH since the late 1990s but I heard that the show likes to portray women as being weak. That's very disappointing to hear. Soaps are known for having strong women, not weak ones like the ones on General Hospital. I also got tired of GH's love affair with the mob.

  • @CarlD2 And the ironic thing is that the original target audience for soaps were women and yet some of the soaps would eventually portray women as being weak. That's just so bizarre and sad.

  • Great Question. I miss her and The Sander's so much. I think she was last seen when the statesville bust went down at the old wrestling gym. Am I correct?

  • Yeah but this is after that, that's what Asa and Bo were referring to Elizabeth saving Tina and Cord. Which is why I was so confused LOL.

  • Elizabeth was always intriguing to me. Whatever happened to her after this?

  • This is such an awesome scene, thanks for putting it up-those two had great chemistry for years and it's always a lot of fun to see them play off of each other, Bob and Phil.
