  • It does that because the ham is high in sodium. but you still shouldn't feed it to your child. it's got way too much salt.

  • The reason it happens is because the little chunks of ham have sharp edges which make arcing more likely. Ham has a fairly high salt content which makes it conductive.

    The food is perfectly safe and you have nothing to be afraid of.

  • Very odd. I can see no logical reason for that to happen. Unless ham contains metal and I wasen't told.
