TriMet TV: When the Ticket Machine is Out of Order

So, according to the video what you're supposed to do if the machines don't work is to either go somewhere else and buy them or have bought them in advance (presumably with the expectation that the machines will be broken). What if there's nowhere close by to get them?

Those machines suck! They break down so much that I'd be embarrassed to show them to out-of-town visitors. How does Trimet expect to encourage mass transit use when their machines aren't working?

LoL, i hear that! I enjoy trimet's services for the most part. Especially the max. The one thing that really gets me though are these machines.. they are CONSTANTLY down. I remember one time, downtown, I walked to three different stops, and there was something wrong with every machine I went to. I even had one machine that charged my card, but didn't spit anything out.. By the way, speaking as an IT technician, WHY DO THESE MACHINES RUN ON WINDOWS?!!
