Honestly lazcano held hatton a lot more, and to boot lazcano low blowed ricky at 1:54. The reason the ref took a long break was due to lazcano holding rickys head down and punching to the stomach, you should break it, and warn him, shoe untying was just a lucky mishap......

Hatton is always open for that left hook when he lunges in with his punches (with a right or most of the time with the left jab/straight.) which is a bad thing for Ricky. Manny's going to exploit this. He knocks a lot of opponents out with the left straight/hook.

Ithink tha stamina also plays a big factor, looking at this fight, hatton is fighting an oldskul guy in lazcano, and yet he crumbled with his breath. Pacquiao can fight up 2 20straight rounds because thats how he is. he trains hard every fight.. we can say ricky might be a strnger puncher than manny but his speed will tell who the boss, most of manny's opponent underestimated him, but when they are in tha ring all they can say is he's too fast and a whirlwind of punches hitting thier faces.

Paulie Malignaggi is a GODLY fighter, but had Hand trouble after his first fight with Lovemore N dou.
I still feel that he is one of the best in the world, after cotto.
But i don't rate Hatton, he hasn't got alot of speed or alot of power.
Malignaggi- AMAZING SPEED. Not great power
Cotto- Amazing power not great speed

Hatton was hurt, and the referee gave him a great opportunity to recover. It was an appalling decision by the ref (oh, the shoelace couldn't have waited till the end of the round? Please!), and it clearly favoured Hatton, you can't deny that.

In a word? YES. When a fighter loses a mouthpiece/the tape on a glove comes loose/a shoelace comes undone, boxing rules state that a ref should NOT call a time-out until there is a clear lull in the action. In other words, if a fighter is showing signs of being hurt and his opponent has the opportunity to capitalise on that, the only interventions the ref can make are a) a standing eight or b) call the fight and award victory by TKO. The ref in this match was not doing his job properly, period.

Hatton is not close to Pacman in p4p..but the weight will be too much for Pac. Pac needs to stay where he is at right now..no heavier. He is great and can probably beat most guys at jww..but the top guys will just be too big. Both Hatton and Pac come to fight..gotta give props to that.
