Patrick Nix is an egotistical butt. He actually threatened student athletes of stripping their scholarships for becoming injured while he was the head coach at Henderson State, where he lost most of his games. A football player was told that if he did not play with a Grade II MCL sprain the following week of receiving the injury, that he would not have a scholarship the following season.
You guys at Auburn definitely do not want Nix as your OC. You might like him cause he played at Auburn, but the guy is pure garbage as a coordinator. Just take a look at how his offenses did at G Tech, and then at Miami. You can give him a pass at Miami for the first season, but in '08 the talent was loaded on offense and he was still pure garbage. Im sure he is a good guy but man almighty is he a horrendous OC.
I remember watching this as a 7 year old and it seemed like the nix to sanders florida play was a miracle bomb from 30 yards or so. But i guess thats how it felt beating the Gators in the swamp in those days. Now I realize it was an 8 yard td pass although I shouldve heard Fyffe saying "touchdown of 8 yards." It still has to be one of my favorites. And as long as you look at the picture, you cant tell where the pass is coming from.
Looked it up - we were both wrong, AU a 16-point dog. If you go back and get the TV call of the first touchdown, Musberger (after a great leaping grab by Thomas Bailey), goes "America!! Does this look like a 16-point underdog to you?"

Great video, but less homerism - AU was only a 17-point dog in the Swamp against Florida in 1994.
