John McCain would have been a good candidate 8 years ago. When he was a respected senator who sponsored some good legislation during his time in the senate. And he didn't toe the line like many other Republicans.

But over the last 4 years he has definitely lost his way and stopped representing Americans. Instead choosing to defend the Bush Administration and echo their rhetoric. McCain 8 years ago may have been a worthy president. McCain 2008 is GWB Jr, third term as president.
