I thought everything starting with an F was a shovelhead???.
This is a evolution motor... It sounds good, the only thing that competes with an EVO idle is a PANHEAD idle.

most evos idle is controlled by a chip, made to mock a shovelhead.

The sound of the exhaust is a product of the offset of the ignition sequence. There isn't a "chip" to simulate the sound. Everything else being equal, my 85 FXR (Evo) will sound identical to an 83 FXR (Shovel).
