  • Русский двигатель !!! ))

  • Its got a miss in it .

  • The GAZ 66 had a ZMZ 53 engine (from GAZ 53 truck) with a V8 and a displacement of 4250 ccm. It produced about 115-120 HP, with reductor only 90 HP.

Fuel consumption is about 22-24 litres/100 kilometers

  • @gasserking1 yeah but it has a lot of torque

  • ZMZ-53 is the original GAZ - 53 V8 engine with 4250 ccm displacement.

115-120 HP (depends on date of manufacture)

    With reductor only 90 HP.

  • Автор, можно ли вместо сухого коплака - филтьтра поставить центрифугу?

  • Chaika also used GAZ 53 engine.

  • no Chaika has 5.5 zmz13. zmz53 is 4.2

  • You have to mention that ZMZ is a Russian muscle car engine manufacturer.

  • @Henzzman No, Chaika has full original engine.

  • @DMADV8 Ok.

  • I own one of these trucks. Engine is years ahead of its time. Aluminium block and heads, stainless steel pushrods, gear driven cam, centrifugal oil filter. Its still in production now in a modernised form. A very nice engine!

  • not really modernised much, almost the same..

i'm developing DOHC 4V per cyl heads for it, wanna make it really great : )

  • sie läuft!!!!!! xD

  • Looks like a knock off of a Studebaker-Packard V8.

  • Packard company was sold to USSR

    so...

  • Where did you get that information? Studebaker/Packard went out of business in 1965! I hardly think that a US company would have been sold to the USSR at the height of the Cold War.

    I say it looks like a Stude/Packard, doesn't mean it's actually one.

  • yep that was around 1965

    if you check on internet

+ Cat Diesel was sold to USSR

  • Oh man, give me a break.....

  • Gaz made a car called a "Chaika" in russia based on (an almost exact copy) of a 50's packard under licence

  • dude, if it's true, i'd give you a cookie!))) as i was searching the v8 it got from!
