I own one of these trucks. Engine is years ahead of its time. Aluminium block and heads, stainless steel pushrods, gear driven cam, centrifugal oil filter. Its still in production now in a modernised form. A very nice engine!
Where did you get that information? Studebaker/Packard went out of business in 1965! I hardly think that a US company would have been sold to the USSR at the height of the Cold War.
I say it looks like a Stude/Packard, doesn't mean it's actually one.

The GAZ 66 had a ZMZ 53 engine (from GAZ 53 truck) with a V8 and a displacement of 4250 ccm. It produced about 115-120 HP, with reductor only 90 HP.
Fuel consumption is about 22-24 litres/100 kilometers

ZMZ-53 is the original GAZ - 53 V8 engine with 4250 ccm displacement.
115-120 HP (depends on date of manufacture)
With reductor only 90 HP.
