This is very unsafe. Let's say you're in a hurry - in a mad rush to get to work. You toss a shirt into the dryer, shut the door, turn it on, and continue getting ready for work. Minutes later you return to the dryer for your shirt. You will get the saddest surprise of your life. This happened to my poor kitty Groucho years ago, and it broke my heart. A lot of people thought it was funny when I told them what happened, and I certainly expect some stupid comments. People can be such jerks.

Yes, I was in a MAJOR HURRY. I was running late for work. That doesn't happen every day, but now and then it DOES happen. The dryer was not at eye level like the one in this video, and I had no idea my kitty was taking a nap in there on the soft towels. I keep the dryer door closed now when not in use, and I check it every time before I run it. I learned this the hard way. After that gut-wrenching experience, it seems important to me to point out the obvious danger here.

Well you know what PooPoo I have no sympathy for you. I wasnt a vet tech then. I myself have had it happen to my cat that lives to be 20 (he was put to sleep). But he was 17 when it happened. I threw him in cool water in the sink to get the temp down and he lived.

I feel no pitty because you didnt get help nore did you take any action. I took him to the vet the next day. Your cat might of suffered from internal injuries and the heat cooked her.
