...and then later on in the day they can go down to occupy wall street to cover their asses for when class warfare storms in on them and pretend to be part of the '99%' like all the other fraud protesters who apparently don't need to work.
Holy s***! .005% more yuppies in Brooklyn Heights!!! What's happening to NY???
You really hate to see the city turning concrete lots into a public parks and charging yuppies an arm and a leg to live in a building next to the BQE overpass at the corner of Pier 6, to help fund it.
Does anyone want to meet up to toss each Hipster and Yuppie piece of shit that come out of this building a good old fashion Brooklyn beatdown? And while we are at it find every business that has "Brooklyn" in the name, that was opened by someone who moved here 6 months ago and burn it down...
i didn't know everyone felt the same way i do about this commercial. "no compromising was necessarry" is the most infuriating statement i've ever heard in an ad.
I thought this was a nice building until I saw this commercial. If this pretentious couple is my neighbor I'm OUT. Oh, and the music is TERRIBLE. Very creepy.
2 years? Wow. My condolences to those who've been watching them this whole time. We finally broke down and got cable after many moons without, so thankfully we've been spared until a couple weeks ago.
This is the worst commercial I have ever seen. Ever. Condos for those who "need" (!!!) skyline views & a fine, aged cognac? Really? Who's convinced by this? I like skyline views as much as the next person and make good money, but in a city where millions are struggling to get by, this is offensive. Nobody needs a nice building or a short commute; they're luxuries, ESPECIALLY in NYC.
Buildings like this are bad enough for the city without annoying the #$%^&* out of us with these ads. Pull them!
thank you youtube, i love you, i thought i was alone in wanting to punch vanessa in her face and throw steve out the window, but i can die happy knowing that i am not
These non-accent, rich, transplant Yuppies have no business in New York and are destroying our businesses and culture. Bloomberg's sold out this city!
Disgusting. Let's not confuse yuppies and hipsters. Hipsters are the pretentious and annoying bane of our city, and this commercial is just as pretentious and annoying. I thought Time Warner pulled it?! Please don't air it anymore.
I HATE this commercial. The most pretentious and uncreative waste of 30 sec/airplay. Enough to convince me to pass on looking at this development. And now i have to sit through it every 20 minutes while watching a particular network...
I can't decide if these animated trust fund yuppies or the real ones from the NY times "weekender" commercials make me sicker....God I hate what NYC has become.
@tollplazahero Absolutely f*cking nauseating. And these trust-fund hipster yuppie transplants probably wonder why they get hated on by native New Yorkers!
(and fyi the commercial completely inaccurate. That building is NOT surrounded by "85 acres of park"....unless you consider the BQE a park! LOL)
Maybe the single douchiest thing I've ever seen. I used to be mildly amused by this ad when it started coming on every morning, until I realized that they were actually being serious, then it just became annoying. Since it's been running for months, I guess no amount of "image" advertising aimed at clueless douches can hide the fact that half of the rooms in your "luxury" ex-warehouse have a much better view of the adjacent double decker elevated expressway than they do of Manhattan.
What "commute," we all know that "Steven" spends all day down at the gay cruising spot while Vanessa is at the farmer's market picking out organic veggies. And they're all parentally-subsidized anyway.
Fucking flyover state hipster-yuppie inbred transplants, die!!!!!!!
@ParkSlopeYuppyToilet Amen to that! I'm not a poor man, but elitist, rich, douchebags like the people whom live in this building are destroying New York City.
This must be a joke, right? Maybe the ad was made by the people i the condo next door, who though their only way to sell their over priced units was to paint their competitors as the most insufferably douchy people in the history of the universe?
If not, I hope the people who made this ad had a good laugh at the condo developer's expense.
Has anyone watched this ad and thought "Hey! That sounds awesome!" ?
