  • Those are some pretty sweet effects!

I've done similar things with C4D (see my videos) and BLENDER can definately compete!

  • what are nodes ?

  • Oh, nice video! :) I guess I have to create another fire sim the next weeks. 8)

  • hay tutorial

    saludos

  • be4 i used blender i had 240gb left on had drive, i soon found out i had 200mb

  • Hot damn! =)

  • This is great and all, but can I have the name of this song please?

  • Wow!!!

  • what nodes are those , cxan some one gave it to me please ?? !!!

  • loving he music lol

  • FumeFX ftw...

  • @anim8ordude Blender 2.5 FTW

  • @kerog6 NOOO!! Seriously though, FumeFX wins...

  • @anim8ordude can i haz FumeFX for FREEEEEE?

  • @kerog6 Illegally... But it completely destroys Blender in accuracy.

  • @anim8ordude atleast in smoke and fire. what about rendering? does it support a built-in renderer?

  • @kerog6 Yes, and some of the best renders are done with Max's default renderer.

  • @anim8ordude if you mean maxwell, cool. i hope blender 2.5x has some better smoke sims, and working radiosity. then it will be pretty much perfect.

  • @kerog6 Oh, I thought you meant Max's built in scanline renderer. It supports VRay, Mental Ray, Maxwell Render, FinalRender, iRay (I think), pretty much everything actually, because it's voxel based and widely compatible. If Blender fluids can be highly accurate, voxel based and fast, then hey, it's a great alternative to FumeFX. FumeFX has some absolutely incredible features though. You should check out the website and check it out a bit more.

  • @anim8ordude ive seen videos of fume fx, and they are definately much better. but blender is voxel based, too.

  • @kerog6 I mean Voxel based AND highly accurate. Check out my Flamethrower V3 video. It's very highly detailed and a fairly good example of what FumeFX can do.

  • one word: WOW

  • What are your computer stats, like what grafics card and such

  • hmm after making cool stuffs in blender, how do you put it in a video?

Like overlay it, as a special effect.

  • @HatroVille I will post another video for that.

  • @NyrixCorp

    Ohh awesome! Thanks! *subscribes*

  • @HatroVille when rendered, press f3(or 4 or 2,i dont remember) and select the directory where you save the .avi file

  • epic fire man

  • how'd you do the smoke itself?

  • @TheFXGuy Check out magazine issue 16 at blenderart . org

Mine is based off of a tutorial in there.

  • @NyrixCorp thnx

  • This vid is very soothing haha.

  • It would be nice to make a comparison between this feature and the other competing softwares'.

  • Really impressive, the best flames of this kind I've seen :)

Is this in Blender 2.5 ??

Or have You managed to do this in an older version ??

  • you can do it with any version that has composite nodes

  • Im so jealous of this. :)

  • Im suing you and blender corporation for making me cream my pants!

  • lol

  • @tek5828 strange fetish :p it's not that hard once u get the hang of it, it's like fluid simulations, first very difficult but after a while ....

  • i wish i knew how to use nodes!

  • take a look at Nionschanel's nodes tutorials

  • can billboards have textures on them?

  • I could swear the screen on my laptop got hotter when the first fire effect came on!

  • Wow... nice!

  • Aww... No .blend? How about some tips or info on how to get similar results? Please?

The effects are VERY nice! Bravo.

  • These are briliant smoke tests, doing smoke this way is still going to be important when we have smoke sim in 2.5; not every scene lends itself to full on simulation!

  • Even with the new smoke sim present in the upcoming 2.5 release of Blender, these tests you've done are still one of the greatest I've seen around!

  • It seems obsolete with the new blender smoke stuff..

  • You can't make smoke like the kind in my video using the new Blender Smoke Sim....

  • no, but you can make some really f*ckin awesome smoke...

  • it looks like crap...

  • Let's just say, its more artistically flexible. Nothing against the new 2.5 smoke, but right now (hopefully this changes) everybody's smoke looks about the same.

  • @NyrixCorp

Being artistic with smoke in 3D?? Really? I think they are going for realistic smoke, and there aren't more than one way of making smoke look realistic. And this is so far looking damn good. You can even make it look like fire!

  • Go fuck yourself bitch! THIS IS CRAZY AWESOME!!!! 3246534653465634534656345634564653656345634563456346 / 5

  • lol, it is isnt it, i guess thats why i am here... +1

  • lol damn I can't believe I actually posted that. Oh well. When nonconstructive put downs are given it usually leads to me doing some cussin'. Nothing personal though. =D

  • with or without nodes, the first one is amazing.

  • O.O Tutorial!!!!! NOW!!!!!! (plz)

  • you need the beta of the 2.5 there is a smoke modifier

  • Yeah, I posted a tutorial for billboard smoke. 2.5 has some good stuff though. Still not quite usable though.

  • the full version will be cool.

  • Great!

  • Wow! I'm impressed!

  • Is there a good tutorial how to do such things in Blender?

  • Turbo kickass.

  • Damn! Very cool effects!
