Really beautiful insect...so strong and elegant, I`ve loved insects since I was kid...this species can be found in south-americas, mostly in Columbia and it is the worlds biggest beetle.

it isnt the biggest, its very very close and it is the strongest being amongst its own size.

it can lift a textbook from one side, they can easly push one and 2 of em can lift it over their heads... one of em can move a rock far over 20 times their size, and im pretty sure that those are heavier than textbooks.

@zapikachu theyll probably refuse to do that lol. they find nothing interesting of textbooks unless you have extraordinary talents to train them. usually people train them for legal gambling. they can be experienced by letting them constantly fght other beetles everytime you offer him a meal. you can offer them many different challenges and make sure that their instinks will take over whenever they get in a ring with another male beetle

@noodow715 nah I'm just attack it to like heavy stuff and see if it can pull or push it. As a matter of fact, I wonder if it could move one of those big jars of mayonnaise. Those are heavier than textbooks

they are not dangerous, when I was young I thought it's horns were jaws, but then i found out it's lower jaw is actually a horn, their faces are actually rather cute!

One more thing, it's interesting how these beetles hardly fly away. They are more prone to fight than to fly away. Pretty cool if you ask me.
