You lag in LOTRO if u have a crappy computer no offense.. I built a computer not to long ago for under 1k and play LOTRO on MAX settings with average FPS from around 70 to 110. And I usually stay at around 27ms but I NEVER get ABOVE 60ms.

THIS GAME IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN WOW. The quests are not kill 100 bats for X xp or collect 70 bat wings for X xp. Its like find ppl and talk to this person and other quest like stuff. this game was good at staying away from the grinding for 10 hours for one lvl up. plus this game looks so much better than wow:that is if you have a computer with lots of ram and a good grapics card. oh and by the way almost all mmos copy each other.

well, as far as i know its kill 8 green bats and kill 8 red bats not 100 bats and its collect 5 bat wings not 70 bat wings. but the ppl and the graphics and the quests are better then in wow tbc but wotlk is better with quests and dungeons

I have some questions about LOTRO.

I've played wow, swg, guildwars, a bit of everquest, is this game as fun?

I currently play wow, have 3 level 70's and I am sick of looking at it, so I need to take a break. Is LOTRO a nice change that I wont get quickly bored with?

How does it deal with lag, does it just slow you down or make you jump and randomly run around and make the game look terrible because of your latency?

Thanks Kojoan92! bad news, no beta keys. Good news the full version game is out! I am not aware of any "trial Version" but go to lotro dot com.You may need to buy the software to play. I do however, have 2 open beta keys for a new game called GODS & Heroes. Currently it's closed beta but open beta should be following soon. I played in closed beta. Graphics are good even if it was just a test Server beta run. The first two to SEND me an E-mail get a OPEN BETA KEY FOR GODS & HEROES!!!!!!!!!

Actually WoW is a copy of Asheron's Call, wich was Turbine first creation. Luckilly this game besides interface has nothing in common with WoW. I played WoW up to lvl 30 and got bored to hell with it. In LotRO I'm currently on lvl 36 and I'm going to continue to play this game.

This game can possibly replace wow as the number one mmorpg. Its very similar to wow, but also has several improvements like less grinding and more involving quests and way better graphics. Wonder how long it will last before a better mmo comes out, warhammer maybe?

Leviathanken, you are correct on every account. I have not had the time to play warhammer but there are a few new MMORG games coming out soon like, Sword of the New World: Granado Espada, Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds end and also Pirates of the Burning Sand which all seem to have a Pirate theme. Wonder if WoW, EQ2 and others will pick up a Pirate theme zone also. Then there is Halo 3 for you Windows Vista people, which looks awesome.

MrTumN3s, Yes, Populations in EQ2 are going down as well. They(soe) keep merging servers and letting people transfer their toons to another servers. It has been said that whole guilds have disbanded in eq2 because mostly people left to play LotRo.

this is not better then both imo....this game was extremely annoying, the healing classes dont heal that well in games i play (they are all a long time usage time) not to mention there isnt a mage class which is my favorite....better luck next time

The lore master is like a mage. More like a conjuror since they have a pet that attacks. Playing a healer isn't for eveyone. In EQ2 I SUCK at playing a ranger. In LotRo I rock as a hunter. If mage is "your favorite class" don't play a healer but play a lore master. I bet you'll enjoy the game better.

I really like the graphics on LotRo. I have eVga 7950 gt ko. I have seen the graphics on LotRo with a evga 8800 gt and it looks a heck of a lot better than a 7950 gt ko, but I DON'T see how improved graphics will make this game any more fun than it already is.

graphics are essential as a art....if you see a plain white dresser, then another dresser with all kinds of decorations on it, which will you most pay attention to? but your right it isnt the only main factor of a game....but this game is the old kind of game....hit, get hit, hit, get hit....but in games like WoW and Age of Conan...you can pvp, choose between factions, and more....this is just a basic old game, not that intresting since the pvp is gay (lvl 50 mobs at start? hardly fun)

i have played the beta, and no the graphics arent better then WoW...watch the way your char walks its totaly rigged in old game styles :/ this game was a dissapointment to me (i am a major pvp fan so i was dissapointed with that) so yes i know the game i have a few 15s, its fun for a while but the quests are too much like other games :/

The cool thing is, a hunter starts off wearing cloth, then at level 20 chain armor and gets to dual wield too at that level. I noticed that my hunter, on the lower levels <10, took damage better than my Champion. buy the pre-order if you can find it and start playing now.
