I'm not a geology professor but I really can't believe rock is that elastic. I would think that the upper layer was merely lifted -quickly, with the 9.0 jolt.
Most animations regarding this type of stuff are highly exaggerated just to show you pretty much HOW it works. Imagine a huge timeline for this as well, not really 25 seconds.

yes my girlfriend had no idea how a tsunami starts or forms this explained everything perfect except i had to narrate since no sound only down side.

This is totally incorrect. Please look up the "Expanding Earth Theory"... This subduction process is a myth and wrong.
Incidentally, H.A.A.R.P caused the recent earthquake in Japan.
