YES! It's my 2nd job.. Just Kidding.. But really, I enjoy climbing and things like this. For me, getting on the roof is just another days work.. No big deal..
In this small town I live in, the Mexicans would just come into my front yard and steal all my harvest while I was away, just as they come into our yards and take the pecans, and anything else they can carry away.
They even dig up ornamental plants and carry them away!
@CelticSouthland the mexicans would steal your harvest what are you stupid why would you try to generalize people moron theres whites that come to my yard and steal my shit.
What do your neighbors really think of your urban gardening? Do they just sort of put up with it or are they supportive of it? We put up a small greenhouse in our backyard and grow a lot of edibles around our small property and our neighbors totally think we are nuts. One neighbor complains if anything makes it's way into her yard through the cracks in the fence (even though we told her she can help herself to any beans that make their way over the fence). any advice for us?
Im not sure what the "really" think. I made it good looking and nice. Most probably think its weird, some have commented that it looks good. Overall, I believe most are supportive or are indifferent. The neighbor next to me is letting me expand on to their property.. look for that eposide soon!
hi, i am from the tropics, very hot and humid. Would you recommend some kind of shade for greens, to prevent drying and scorching of the leaves. , do you need to do that in your area, and what kind of shade would you recommend.
I have seen greens grow in the tropics without shade. Just make sure you grow greens that are more climatized for your environment, for example, dont grow lettuce. (or grow a variety) that does well in your climate. Grow perennial vegetables. Plant some fruit trees for shade! Thats what I would do. (if you wanted shade)
John, i noticed the soil in your strawberry bed is a yellowish color, and the rest of the beds have dark soil. What's different about the soil in the strawberry bed?
I love your garden. we will finish our next year. you have been an insperation. My husband's belly will be full all year round. Do you have alot of people come by your place and ask questions. I get that alot lately. I favored this video. when we are finished our front garden I will send you a video of both the back yard and front. now I am saving up to buy the neighbours house so I can extend my house and extend my back yard and my front yard garden. (the neighbours will sell eventually)
Looks great and very inspiring. You really work so hard to have such a wonderful garden and it shows! A small space gives great bounty when used to its fullest potential. Keep the great videos coming. I have learned A LOT from you!
I love your roof top views of your garden. You have the best front yard ever! Yesterday, neighbor got shocked when I said something about putting a horse in our "front yard." In this case, I'm not the crazy one. It's such a waste of real estate to care for and grow grasses that just need to be cut down and maintained. :( . I plan on using every bit of our land like you've done! :) Thanks.
Out of all the gardening Youtube channels you are by fare my favorite. Keep up the great work and hopefully more people will be encouraged to grow there own food ( and subscribe to your channel).
After all we are in a recession that wont recover anytime soon imo. Growing your food and teaching others how to do it is one of the best things us Americans can do to insure we keep the constitution intact.
Wow that is amazing!
I would love to be able to do something like this in our front yard, but unfortunately we live in a community that has a covenant against this.
Instead I extended our north side fence by 12' to accommodate some raised grow beds.
Can you tell me what material you used to build your beds? I used cedar, expensive, but should hold up for sometime.
Thanks,
Devin

Wonderful! It's great to see what potential every front yard has to be more than just grass to mow.
