  • It's folk punk btw

  • Great stuff. It looks like they're playing in someone's bedroom or a clubhouse or something. Awesome.

  • folk punk!!!!!!!

  • I am trying to figure out why there is a argument about emo bands on defiance ohio since that has nothing to do with them......

  • Music is music, stop labeling everything. Some music is good, some sucks. Grow up and have some sex you faggots!

  • i cant get enough... the most emotional driven music i ever heard...

  • im speechless..... love Defiance ohio

  • We're not getting laid, paid so we don't give a damn

We're in it for life and this shit ain't a scam

Your scene is a fraud, just to make a buck

Emo or hardcore - we don't give a mother fuck

An open ended forum for whoever can fit in

But what you do to these children it's a fucking sin

that describes pretty much every scene even the the punk one that that bands from but the punx scene aint really a trend any more like bein an emo skater or a gangsta is fuck humans suck

  • They sound so much better acoustic. Favorite band acoustic,-just another ho-hum band with plugged in.

  • this is a song about not showering and black hoodies thanx, no thank you see you at starbucks queers

  • you soo cool

  • Well any music that isn't emotive is hardly worth listening to. However there are coexisting generic themes among many bands that are considered emo.... Defiance, Ohio is NOT one of those bands... even if their music is emotive.

  • I love how their voices are so raw and real on the albums, that live they sound exactly the same. Beautiful.

  • Great song.

  • on tour with Life Rocks?? any videos of that??

  • as D,O say, "basment music isn't for everyone"

  • hey

    i kno i'm lame

    but i'm kinda lazy

    wat r the chords?

    hahaha

  • its like 12 10 8 for the intro

and then its Em C G

    then C G

    then G

    then G Em Am C

    then the intro again

  • what chord is at 1:13-1:14. play/pause it to see what i mean. i have the rest down. just a bit confused

  • It is C to G for the first "remember this"

then it is C G D because he stresses the "this" along with the D

  • @shanusis666 it looks like C, with the pinky on the 3rd fret of the high e/1st string

  • @shanusis666 It's like a mini solo with C going from the 3rd fret E to the 3rd fret of B, then the same with G, then the same with C again, then some C to D thing.

  • @Ansuz92 I think I was thinking of the wrong spot.

  • I love Defiance, OH! =D

They have such passion in their voices and songs. And they're lyrics are RAD!

  • This song rules.

  • This song rules.

  • theyre not famous, really. most wont find them unless theyve been recommended by a friend. it was that way for me. also, the lyrics make the songs. once you know the lyrics, singing along and appreaciating it is all worth it.

  • lol, singing songs with emotion isnst emo. and dont give me that emo is short for emotional bullshit. theres so much emotional music that is def. not emo.

  • actually, emo is short for emotional hardcore... but it has just been thrown around to describe anything and everything these days

  • You are correct :)

BTW I love this song, the whole damn album is fantastic.

  • And In All Actuality Minor Threats singer Ian MacKaye was in an "emo" band.(Embrace)

Some Punk bands in the 80s branched off to emotional hardcore. Its actually good. Now Days what the majorty call "emo" sucks. bad.

  • ya, and Fugazi (which also contained the great Ian MacKaye) is considered one of the more popular emotionally charged hardcore(emo)....

Totally agree, what people consider emo these days is garbage!

  • Emotive hardcore. (sorry don't mean to be such a douche but that's how it was explained in it's original contents)

And it's been an extremely generic term since the first wave of emo indie or whatever you want to call it in the early 90's came out.

So fuck the term itself. It's as generic as telling someone a band is a "rock" band.

  • @alexdavis or emotive hardcore!

  • @alexdavis

i hope your not calling this emo..

  • emotive hardcore was true emo

    fuck people are stupid

  • @Ansuz92 Word.

  • No fuckin' doubt man.

  • im trying to get into this genre a bit...or i wouldnt be watching videos, however it seems alot of their stuff just ends up sounding the same. strum strum strum fast droning vocals. Can anyone gimme a link to a more original song?

  • Lyrics my friend.

  • yup, the lyrics make the songs =)

  • Oh Susquehanna bro

  • who judges a band purely on live youtube videos? go to their site where you can download their entire catalogue for free. if you've already done that, then i'm sorry that you'll never get it. sucks for you.

  • i guess you dont like em. it funny though, you mentioned dylan, (dylan being my favorite artist) how much can you hoinestly say you know about him in compariason to "being out of tune" dylan was known to NEVER be in tune haha..and this guy in my opinion sings with more conviction, but the songs he sings are of this generation dyaln sung about hard times, and then of course the 60s. but then he became a god man, point is, theres music appreciation, and then there musical ignorance, choose one..

  • Yeah. You're what we in the biz call "dumb."

  • haahhahha says the kid that plays shitty country. dude learn somethings about the world and get your head out of your egotistical ass

  • yes, well you can go back to listening to flock of seagulls then, theres emotion behind there music, I dont know if much of any of u have ever written music but emotionless 'perfect' music isnt difficult to write, I have trouble recreating something as brilliant as this.

  • check out this bike is a pipebomb there similar to defiance ohio but there alittle less depressing

  • Even though they have a song called depression. Kind of ironic.

  • i ment in like how they sound.

  • Oh yeah I know what you mean.

  • haha at the beginning their like "dam people shut up."

  • that song owns, they should do vids w/ out people takin,i thing the songs w/ be better

  • my favorite band of all time. <3 I REALLY love them.

  • i just heard this bike is a pipe bomb. great stuff!! i need more!

  • yo they shuld go to central jersey... make people love them there...

  • i love you guys<333333333333333

  • amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing band. I cannot stres this enough.

  • Definately One of the Greatest Bands to this Day.

Along with Murder By Death, Against Me!, and This Bike is a Pipe Bomb.

    Niiiiice!

    Stayyyle.

  • i completly aggree about defiance, against me! and this bike is a pipe bomb, but who's murder by death. If they can be in the same sentence as the other 3 they must be good

  • They are definately Good.

Theyre a bit slow but theyre just great.

  • great fucking video

  • awesome!
