Sentries would have been useless, Zerg only had a couple of roaches, and forcefields can be crushed by massive units like ultralisks. Immortals would have been useless, Zerg didn't just have ultras, he had zerglings and broodlords as well who just chew through immortals. He should have gotten voidrays though, would work wonders against those high hp ultras, maybe even broodlords. Pheonix would be useful too to put some of ultras out of action and take care of them later.

Very good play by the zerg mystic , very dissapointed with protoss chita.Like seriously - 1st mistake - dude 4 sentries could totaly help you in early game with force fields and you would destroy his army and win. 2nd mistake - DUDE THE ZERG HAD NO ANTI-AIR!!!!!!!!!!?Even 5 void rays could've won the game for you if you hide them so he doesn't know what's comming.

Zerg needs buff since toss used wrong units to fight off Zerg properly and still lasted that long? Sick of Zerg players not knowing what their strength is. True enough, the Zerg have their infestors with FG - but they are easily picked off from the group and destroyed. in a heated battle, the high templar are just too small to pick out easily. I think its funny that Chita probably could have stuck with his masses of warpgates and gotten stalkers instead of 30 minutes of high templar. +damage to roaches, ultras and brood lords. And enough mobility to dance around all day in the backdoor and kite ultras.

Course that makes me cry cause I hate masses of one unit Q_Q.

@leftstanding Storm hits zerglings yeah, but the main threat was from the Roaches early on and the Ultras later. Burrowed roaches with upgrade can almost outpace Psistorm damage with their regen, and Ultras just have so much health that it barely affects them.

A few immortals would have solved BOTH problems, and having robo tech would've meant easy access to colossi if Zerglings actually became a problem.

@Kerensky287 maybe, but then you make it sound like protoss should win every battle against zerg. besides, there is more than one strategy that can be played against zerg and it does not always involve robotics units. massing stalkers has shown to work even against roaches but just like any other strategy it does not always work. Chita was already pretty committed to mass stalkers and making the switch was very difficult, especially with all the pressure he was on. Mystic simply played better.

But the point I was making was that Chita had many, many opportunities and more than ample reason to tech switch - notice that even though he loses all his gateways multiple times, he still continues to re-build his gateways. A single robo bay would be good for the 5 or 6 immortals you need for support.

@Kerensky287 he did rebuild warpgates at his natural (early part3) but was maxed out and had just lost 2 bases. he went out trying to destroy Mystic's bases but lost his army to ultras. at this point he only was mining from 1 base and desperately needed to warp in units quickly. minerals were short (had only a few hundred) and Mystic kept destroying his mined out bases causing him to constantly get supply blocked. China turtled and hung in there trying to secure 1o'clock position.

Just saw another PvZ video on HD's channel in which Protoss won, and evrybody was yelling how zerg are underpowered. Even though I have not seen the ending to the fourth part... I would say that those who complain about zerg being underpowered should see this video and shutup. This is how you play zerg. Even though, both of these players are EXTREMELY brilliant, it just goes on to show that races are not better or worse, players are.

I've seen some attempts to use nydus, and been up against some half hearted use of nydus. This play is brilliant! The toss player were under so mush press that he totally forgot his observers. They sat in his main for some 20 minutes. It would be nice to see a ZvT to see if it works there as well.

and with sentry support, but thing was, he already lost long before that, he just had to pump the units he had to be able to delay gg. He was losing tons of units and he was too late to tech.

The reason I commented earlier is because people were like "omfg why he didn't made air unitz!11!twelve, but fact is he already lost the match, he was under too much pressure to start teching and make some counter, if he did, he would be stomped much sooner. props to him for holding so long tho

I don't think the protoss utilizing air units would have helped, either. Nor do I think he ever explicitly allowed the zerg to get the upper hand, as he took the gold expansion relatively early and was operating off of more bases for a good long while there. I think he lost because 1: no immortals or other anti-armor tech and 2: the zerg nydus worms were utilized effectively and there was no way he could defend against them once they started popping up.

It's actually pretty impressive how long the Protoss player hung on without the proper units to combat the Zerg assault. Once they got so far behind, though, I doubt void rays would have saved them.

So many of you fail to understand that an in-game 1st and after game 3rd person point of views of this game are so different. Should haves, shouldn't haves are all hindsight opinions. In real time, none of us know a player's thinking process. He made a strategic error going pure gateway units yes, yet despite making an error he lasted 40 minutes through keeping up macro and good micro. Last 40 minutes making a similar error then come back and talk. The guy played well for making a blunder.
