@HunHorda Don't worry, I've seen it and also one other Russian painting sometimes (mistakenly) shown as Bulgarian, without a real reason.

@MrSwatbg Indeed, though it's even more interesting why Russian historians claim it's a "Turkic influence" over the early Rus (don't forget that the earliest Kievan Rus itself was ruled by a "hakan"), when it's actually more correct to call it "steppe influence", considering it was spread among the Bulgars and other similar tribes as well, not only among the Turkic tribes.

When Khazars attacked Great Bulgaria they didnt destroy it. They gust located Khazaria in the middle and SEPARATED one nation in 2 parts - near Volga and the near Danube. What mean this? The Greeks to call this impery ''Great'' Bulgaria... for this have reason, i.e teritories much larger than Byzantium.

One country SEPARATED from the Khazars, which mean - Danube Bulgars and Volga Bulgars are SAME. Just the Danubes ones mixed with Thracians.

@MrSwatbg You're forgetting the Black Bulgars (Bat-Bayan's ones), who got conquered by the Khazars, but according to most modern historians and archaeologists, remained relatively autonomous and actually formed a considerable part of the Khazar khaganate.

Anyway, I meant "steppe influence" in the terms that it was spread not only among the Turkic tribes, but also among the Iranic and Finno-Ugrian ones that lived in the Pontic steppe area.
