I think you might be right about it being fake. Before the explosion his shirt looks blue-purple with some sort of design on it. After its just plain black. Also, the lights are off when he lights it and they are on when he sits up. How does that happen?
Not saying it's not a fake, but it looks like maybe the camera's setting were blown out by the flash and it can only handle lights and darks. Bounce back and forth between lights on and after the explosion - it's not a clear match.
