i have this camera but when i turn it on it reads lens error or says retry power on, the lense is half way out too, if anyone knows how i could fix this myself without a cost, i would appreciate it, please comment, thanks.

@gurl139 Ive had that Happen. My Lens were Bent so iBent it Back into Shape. iCan Take Pics but iCant Zoom with out it Saying Lens Error.

Casio Cameras seem to have lens problems. There are thousands on horror stories online related to this issue,mines included. After a couple of months of use (if that) it starts to act up giving various error messages. Maybe is it's the camera's slimness that contributes to it's failure

i dropped my camera while in use and the lens is crooked and when i turn it on it says "lens error" and then shuts off. could anyone give me any advice on how to fix it???...thanks, i would appreciate it.

@basketballpwner Mee too! iBent My Lens back into Shape but it Still Says Lens Error if iTry to Zoom. Still Works though.

@Respectmee95 Yeah i got mine to work also. I just applied force to the higher side of the crooked lens and it popped back into place. Problem with these camera's is that they seem to be very fragile to falls. But again. it's not made to fall lol. I also dropped my laptop a few days ago but i managed to get that back into working shape too.

that camera sucks!!! i got it first but then it just broke and i went to best buy so they can fix it(i bought a 2 year garanteed) but they told me that does cameras weren't righ so they gave me the TL 100 for the same prise as the other one, so they just traded it and i payd 2 more years o garanted. and i love it... it's awesome!!!

I use mine for the same thing. Only problem is that this camera is nothing but shit!! I got my first one about 2 years ago. a year later, the focusing rign screws up on it. They send it away and replaced it for me right then and there. "Cool" I thought. That is, until today. The same fucking thing happenes AGAIN! No fucking focus, the lens doesn't wanna go back in, it keeps shutting itself down before I can do anything, etc.. I won't be getting another one, i don't think. Though it is a nice cam

I've been through 3 different kinds of exilm cameras. And they all died on me with Lens Errors within about 5months. I reccomend to buy a different brand.

DUDE! The same fucking thing happens to me! The second one (the one that replaced my first one) Just fucked up on me today wuth the same fucking problem. I'm gonna try and find a better camera for what I need it for. I do alot of video, so mabey I'll just get a damn camcorder, lol!

It does suck, cause I really like the design and simplicity of these cameras. They are small enough to fit into any pocket, yet have a nice sized screen on them. Plus all of the neat features for taking pics with (not that I ever really used them, lol). If only they were durable enough for my every day use. And I mean EVERY DAY! I use them alot at work too, so... The camera needs to be able to take a little abuse, ya know? Oh well. I shall find something soon. Might look at some kodak cameras..

The sound it pretty good. Tends to pick it up nicely. Though I personally don't recommend you get one. I have gone through 2 of them already, due to lens errors. The focusing rings keep fuckin up on them. But it's your call. Could be just that I had a couple bad ones.

I had a Casio Exilim EX-Z70, and everything was normal and fine. And now I just bought EX-Z77, and it really has more functions that the old one I had! It looks great, has a very wide screen and I think it's a great camera! Really complex and compatible!!!
